MUL-6984 refactor(prompt): give each duplicated instruction one owner (#7971)
* refactor(prompt): give each duplicated instruction one owner (MUL-6984) Four cases where the same data or rule was rendered two or three times into one context window, following the sibling-block removal in #7937. Each is resolved by picking the surface that owns it and pointing the others there — no behavior change beyond what an agent stops reading twice. The rule used to pick the owner is the one MUL-5377 already set for issue tasks: the runtime brief holds what is true of this KIND of task (stable, and it is the prompt-cache prefix), the per-turn user message holds what is true of this RUN, and the workdir sidecar holds nothing. Autopilot, quick-create and squad-leader paths had never been cleaned up against it. Autopilot run data (run id, autopilot id, title, source, trigger payload, instructions) was rendered in the brief, the per-turn message, and the sidecar. Now per-turn only; the brief keeps the run-only framing and the shared issue-command guard. This also settles a contract violation: those are per-run values, and the brief promises not to carry any. MUL-5696 already caught the two copies drifting on the guard sentence and fixed that one line with a shared constant. The payload is now capped at 8 KB with an explicit truncation notice — it is written by whatever system fired the trigger, so nothing here bounds it, and a clipped JSON object read as a whole one is worse than a short one. The squad leader no_action rule was written four times: the Squad Operating Protocol, the per-turn prompt, brief workflow step 4, and brief ## Output. The four had already drifted — only some carried the MUL-6622 escape hatch that keeps a FAILED `squad activity` call from ending the turn in silence. The protocol is now the single statement (it is the only document sent exclusively to leaders); the two brief sites and the per-turn reply imperative carry the EXCEPTION to their own imperative and point back at it. Quick-create's five run/output rules were in the brief's Workflow, the brief's ## Output, and the per-turn "Output format" block; the --description-file /tmp guidance was in the brief's Available Commands and per-turn. The brief owns both now — its own comment says these guardrails must hold "even if the user message is missing" — and per-turn renders only the field values the modal picked. .agent_context/issue_context.md is deleted outright. Nothing read it: the rendered CLAUDE.md never mentioned .agent_context, no per-turn message pointed at it, and no provider discovers it. Its writer's own comment said "the runtime brief already carries every fact this file would". With it gone the directory is created only when the default provider needs .agent_context/skills, so a local_directory task no longer leaves an empty managed directory in the user's checkout. Compatibility: prompt text only. No wire field, CLI flag, or DB column changes, so no server/daemon version coupling. Tests follow the text to its new owner rather than being deleted: the protocol's no_action rule is now pinned in internal/handler, the quick-create rules in the brief's own suite, and the payload cap has its own coverage including the rune-boundary cut. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * fix(prompt): drop the autopilot payload cap, pin the moved invariant (MUL-6984) Addresses review on #7971. The 8 KB trigger-payload cap is removed. Its rationale was wrong twice over: webhook ingress already bounds a body at 256 KiB (handler.maxWebhookBodyBytes), so the payload was never unbounded from Multica's side; and because de-duplication made the per-turn message the payload's ONLY rendering, truncating there dropped task input with no way back — GET /api/autopilots/{id}/runs/{runId} returns the full payload but no CLI command exposes it, and `autopilot runs` lists runs without payloads. A legitimate 9 KB webhook would have silently lost fields the autopilot instructions might name, and the "JSON is incomplete" notice only prevents misreading, it does not recover anything. The cap belongs with an agent-facing read-back command and a threshold taken from real payload sizes, not as a side effect of removing duplicates. Rendering it once instead of twice is still a strict improvement over the pre-PR behavior. TestBriefByteIdenticalAcrossRunsForEveryKind could not see the invariant this PR actually moves: its autopilot row pins run-1 / ap-1 and every variant mutates only the generic resume / initiator / connected-app fields, so putting the title, source, payload or description back in the brief left it green. TestAutopilotBriefByteIdenticalAcrossRunScopedFields adds a second and third run that vary all of them — including a different autopilot id — asserts the brief is byte-identical, and asserts the brief contains none of those values. That second half matters: byte-identity alone also holds if the values reach no surface at all. Verified against a deliberately reintroduced field, where it fails as intended. TestBuildPromptAutopilotRunOnly gains the source and payload assertions so the per-turn message is pinned as their sole owner. Contract comments that still described the deleted sidecar are corrected: agent.MinHandoffCLIVersion (the gate always measured the opening prompt — no provider read the sidecar), the handoff_note field docs on both sides of the claim wire, the claim handler's note, TaskContextForEnv.HandoffNote, and errPathPreExists's namespace list. The Reuse path keeps its issue_context.md mentions, now labelled as cleanup of manifests written by older builds rather than of anything this code still writes. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * refactor(squad): keep the protocol's ownership note out of the prompt (MUL-6984) Review nit on #7971. The Squad Operating Protocol ended with a paragraph saying it is the single statement of the no_action rule and that the rule changes here — true, and worth writing down, but addressed to whoever maintains the text. That const is sent to the model on every leader turn, so the leader paid ~40 tokens per turn for a sentence it cannot act on. Moved to the const's doc comment, next to the other constraints a maintainer reads before editing it. The skill side already records the same ownership in multica-squads/references/squad-source-map.md. MUL-6743 refactor(issues): remove the assignment handoff note (#7626)
* refactor(issues): remove the assignment handoff note (MUL-6743) Usage data puts the handoff note at 0.2% of assignments, so the box occupied the confirm dialog's centre for the other 99.8% and bought them nothing. Removing it takes the whole feature with it: the note input and its runtime version gate, the `handoff_note` write field on PATCH/batch issue updates, the task column write, and the daemon's opening-prompt + issue_context.md handoff sections. The confirm dialog itself stays — it still names who is about to run and still offers "Don't start yet" (suppress_run). The `*WithHandoff` enqueue methods only ever varied by that note, so they become `EnqueueTaskForIssueByActor` / `EnqueueTaskForSquadLeaderByActor` — the actor-carrying variants autopilot already called with an empty note. `preview-trigger` drops `handoff_supported`, which nothing read after the gate moved client-side. `agent_task_queue.handoff_note` is deliberately left in place: it holds historical rows and this is the expand half of an expand-contract pair. Nothing reads or writes it now, so a follow-up migration can drop it once no deployed binary selects it. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * docs(issues): reshoot the assignment confirm dialog (MUL-6743) The asset still showed the handoff note box the surrounding prose no longer describes. Recaptured from the app at the same 600x450 frame; the confirm button now carries the send-chord keycaps it has shipped with since MUL-5694. feat(agent): add oh-my-pi (omp) as a supported agent runtime (#6514)
* feat(agent): add oh-my-pi (omp) as a supported agent runtime oh-my-pi (omp, https://omp.sh) is a separate CLI that is a drop-in fork of pi and speaks the same JSON event protocol. It is registered as an independent provider so a host with both pi and omp installed gets two runtimes instead of one. omp is a runtime identity on the pi protocol, NOT a new protocol family. It is declared in a single BuiltinRuntimes descriptor (server/pkg/agent/builtin_runtimes.go) that carries id, protocol_family, default_command, env_prefix, display_name, skills_dir, user_skills_dir, launch_header, backend overrides, and model_discovery strategy. Every consumer (agents_probe.go, config.go, daemon.go, execenv/context.go, local_skills.go, agent.go New/LaunchHeader, models.go ListModels) derives from this descriptor — no per-file hardcoded omp special cases. NewRuntime() is the typed entry point for runtime identities: it resolves id → descriptor → protocol family backend → applies overrides through a backendOverrideApplicator interface (piBackend implements it). New() delegates to NewRuntime() for built-in runtime identities, keeping New() meaning exactly one thing: the protocol-family factory. Model discovery: parseOmpModels reads the real {"models":[...]} wrapper with separate provider/id/selector/name fields. Model.ID is the selector (provider/id), matching parsePiModels' convention so buildPiArgs emits both --provider and --model — not just --model. A regression test (TestOmpSelectorSurvivesToBuildPiArgs) pins this end-to-end. Frontend: provider-logo.tsx maps omp to PiLogo. The transcript dialog uses the shared providerDisplayName helper. Landing copy updated to 21 tools in all 4 locales. Tests (omp_test.go): descriptor dispatch, NewRuntime entry point, binary resolution, omp-labeled errors, event-stream completion, pi+omp side-by-side registration, selector→buildPiArgs regression, model parser coverage (real JSON/empty wrapper/invalid stderr/duplicate), and a guard that every descriptor field is non-empty and consumed. Closes #3989 * fix(views): keep Claude Code label in the transcript run details Switching the provider row to the shared runtime formatter renamed every Claude run: the daemon has no display-name override for claude, so the shared formatter answers "Claude", and the legacy claude-code value title-cased into "Claude-code". Both read as "Claude Code" before. Keep those two aliases in a table local to this view and defer everything else to the shared formatter, so the row stays in lockstep with the runtime list (#5260) without renaming Claude runs. * test(daemon): assert pi and omp both reach the register payload The existing omp test stopped at probeAgentCLIs, so nothing covered the part a user actually sees: whether both runtimes are registered with the server, each under its own display name. Discovery finding two entries and New() building two backends both stop short of version detection and the registration payload. Add a daemon-level test that runs real discovery off a fake PATH, drives syncWorkspacesFromAPI, and asserts the payload carries type=pi and type=omp with names "Pi" and "Oh-My-Pi". Rename the discovery test to say what it covers, and record the registered display name in the batch fixture so the name can be asserted. * docs(agent): correct descriptor comments that describe the old behaviour Three doc comments still described behaviour the fail-closed rework replaced: - ModelDiscovery claimed a nil strategy falls back to the family's discovery; ListModels deliberately returns an empty catalog instead, because omp exits non-zero on pi's --list-models. - backendOverrideApplicator claimed backends without it are returned unchanged; NewRuntime returns an error rather than dropping the descriptor's executable and label. - ProtocolFamily credited New() with applying the ID-specific defaults; that moved to NewRuntime. Also repair the truncated first sentence of the NewRuntime doc, and fix discoverOmpModels still calling the output a JSON array when parseOmpModels right below it documents the {"models":[...]} wrapper. * style(server): gofmt the files this branch touched Four files were left unformatted: the descriptor literal and the omp test struct lost their key alignment, execenv/context.go had its new import out of order, and local_skills.go kept the old indentation after its switch moved inside an if/else. Whitespace only — no behaviour change. --------- Co-authored-by: Bohan-J <[email protected]> |

feat: add QwenPaw ACP backend support (MUL-5355) (#5986)
* feat: add QwenPaw ACP backend support Add qwenpaw as a supported agent backend. QwenPaw runs via `qwenpaw acp` over stdio using the ACP (Agent Client Protocol) JSON-RPC 2.0, reusing the hermesClient transport layer. Changes: - New backend: pkg/agent/qwenpaw.go (ACP stdio via hermesClient) - Register in agent.SupportedTypes, New(), launchHeaders - Daemon config: probe qwenpaw binary, QWENPAW_ARGS env var - Display name 'QwenPaw', inline system prompt support - Runtime config: AGENTS.md injection, .qwenpaw/skills/ discovery - User-level skills via QWENPAW_HOME env var - DB migration 224: add qwenpaw to protocol_family whitelist * fix(ci): add qwenpaw to CLI guard names and rename migration 231 - Add 'qwenpaw' to scripts/agent-cli-command-names.txt (TestAgentCLIGuardCoversDefaultCommands) - Rename migration to 231 to avoid collision with existing migrations (TestMigrationNumericPrefixesStayUniqueAfterLegacySet) * fix: address Bohan-J review comments on qwenpaw backend (PR #5986) Blocking fixes: 1. config.go: Add qwenpaw CLI probe so daemon discovers the binary 2. models.go: Add qwenpaw case returning empty list (same as qwen) 3. qwenpaw.go: Fix resume path — use session/load (QwenPaw implements load_session, not session/resume), use resolveResumedSessionID, only set resumeRejected on session-not-found errors, fail the run on set_model failure instead of silently continuing 4. daemon.go: Add qwenpaw→"QwenPaw" to runtimeDisplayNameOverrides 5. agent.go: Update error message to list qwenpaw Non-blocking fixes: 6. qwenpaw_test.go: Add 10 tests covering session/new, session/load, session/load not-found, set_model failure, ListModels, blocked args, protocol verification (session/load not session/resume), timeout, usage tracking, and backend construction 7. sidecar_manifest_test.go: Add qwenpaw to allFileBasedProviders * fix: address Bohan-J second-round review on qwenpaw backend (PR #5986) Blocking fixes: 1. qwenpaw.go: Send qwenpaw.coding_project_dir inside _meta, not as top-level parameter — ACP Pydantic model ignores extra root-level keys (model_config has no extra='allow'), only merges field_meta into kwargs 2. qwenpaw.go: Handle set_model returning result:null (not RPC error) — real QwenPaw server swallows exceptions and returns None, which serialises as JSON null; json.RawMessage('null') is non-nil so bytes.Equal check is needed 3. context.go: Workspace skills are at <workDir>/skills, not <workDir>/.qwenpaw/skills (confirmed against QwenPaw v2.0.1) 4. local_skills.go: QwenPaw resolves global root from QWENPAW_WORKING_DIR -> COPAW_WORKING_DIR -> ~/.copaw -> ~/.qwenpaw, not from QWENPAW_HOME Test additions: 5. TestQwenpawSetModelReturnsNull — regression test for result:null 6. TestQwenpawSessionLoadTransientError — transient error does not set ResumeRejected=true 7. TestQwenpawSessionNewSendsCodingProjectDir — verifies _meta format 8. TestQwenpawSessionLoadSendsCodingProjectDir — same for session/load 9. TestQwenpawTimeout — deterministic sync via signal file All 15 Qwenpaw tests pass. Verified against real qwenpaw v2.0.1 binary (end-to-end: prompt, session ID, resume, system prompt). * fix: rebase against upstream/main and add per-task qwenpaw workspace/agent isolation - Rebase add-qwenpaw-backend branch on upstream/main (88 commits ahead) - Resolve conflict in config.go: keep refactored probe() with shell resolution fallback, which already includes qwenpaw probe - Add --workspace and --agent CLI args to qwenpaw acp for per-task skill isolation and agent identity isolation - Mark --workspace and --agent as blocked in qwenpawBlockedArgs so user custom_args cannot override them - Add deriveQwenpawAgentID() to produce deterministic agent IDs from task's issue ID and agent ID - Wire QwenpawWorkspace and QwenpawAgentID through ExecOptions - Add prepareQwenpawWorkspace() in execenv to materialize bound skills into a per-task workspace directory * fix: address Bohan-J third-round review on qwenpaw backend (PR #5986) Three blocking issues resolved: 1. Agent ID registration — remove session/set_model and --agent entirely. The simpler route: QwenPaw model override is declared unsupported, eliminating the need for agent profile registration in QwenPaw config. 2. Skill revocation — prepareQwenpawWorkspace now does os.RemoveAll on the skill_pool dir and manifest before rebuilding, making it idempotent. A->empty (revoke all), A->B (replace), and A->A (repeated reuse) all work correctly. Added 3 new unit tests. 3. Skill root path — changed 'skills' to 'skill_pool' in both prepareQwenpawWorkspace and skillsDirPath to match QwenPaw's store.py get_workspace_skills_dir. Also cleaned up: removed deriveQwenpawAgentID function and its test, removed QwenpawAgentID from ExecOptions, removed --agent from qwenpawBlockedArgs, removed session/set_model test cases. * fix: add missing qwenpaw probe() call in agents_probe.go The TestDefaultAgentCommandNamesCoversAllProbes test found only 17 probe() calls in agents_probe.go but defaultAgentCommandNames has 18 entries. The probe() call for qwenpaw was missing, causing the backend CI test failure. Adding the probe ensures GUI-launched daemons can resolve qwenpaw via the login shell fallback, matching all other providers. * fix: sync models.go with upstream/main (remove qwenpaw from ListModels) * fix: CI failures — migrate prefix 235→236 + update test - migration prefix 235 was reused by upstream 235_chat_message_quick_actions; renamed our qwenpaw migration from 235 to 236 - TestQwenpawListModels called len() on Catalog struct (compile error); fixed to expect error for unknown provider type * fix: bump qwenpaw migration prefix 236->241 (upstream took 236) * fix: qwenpaw local skill root — 'skills' → 'skill_pool' (MUL-5355) Bohan-J third-round review blocker #3: local_skills.go still scanned <QWENPAW_HOME>/skills but the QwenPaw shared skill pool is <QWENPAW_HOME>/skill_pool (store.py get_workspace_skills_dir). Verified no other qwenpaw paths in the codebase assume the wrong layout. * fix: bump qwenpaw migration prefix 241->242 (upstream took 241) lint test fails with: migration prefix 241 is reused by [241_comment_parent_lookup_index 241_runtime_profile_add_qwenpaw]. Upstream added 241_comment_parent_lookup_index; bump our migration. * feat: add QwenPaw integration test and version declaration (MUL-5355) - New: server/pkg/agent/qwenpaw_integration_test.go with three agentintegration build-tagged tests: TestQwenpawRealACPSmoke — full end-to-end ACP smoke test with session/new → session/prompt and session/load resume validation. TestQwenpawRealWorkspaceSmoke — validates skill_pool workspace flag handling and per-task skill isolation. validateQwenpawVersion — attempt version detection via qwenpaw --version, pip show qwenpaw, and python import. - Document QwenPaw v2.0.1 as the supported baseline version in qwenpaw.go package comment, noting the contract details: _meta qwenpaw.coding_project_dir for Coding Mode, session/set_model NOT supported, skill_pool workspace layout. - This test suite is gated by MULTICA_RUN_REAL_AGENT_SMOKE=1 and requires qwenpaw on PATH, matching the pattern used by grok, cursor, and traeecli integration tests. * fix: bump qwenpaw migration prefix 242->243 (upstream took 242 for qoderclicn) Upstream added 242_runtime_profile_add_qoderclicn in the same rebase window, colliding with our 242_runtime_profile_add_qwenpaw. The migration lint test TestMigrationNumericPrefixesStayUniqueAfterLegacySet catches duplicate prefixes after the legacy range. Also add 'qoderclicn' to our migration's CHECK constraint so it doesn't regress the whitelist added by upstream's 242. * temp: stub out integration test to isolate CI failure * fix: restore upstream probeAgentCLIs() call in config.go (rebase regression) Rebase conflict resolution accidentally reverted upstream's MUL-5439 refactor (extracting probe logic to agents_probe.go) back to the old inline probe block. This also dropped qoderclicn detection and duplicated the probe logic already in agents_probe.go. Restore the single 'agents := probeAgentCLIs()' call — qwenpaw is already probed in agents_probe.go. * fix: bump qwenpaw migration prefix 243->251 (upstream took 243-250) Upstream added migrations 243-250 since our last rebase. Bump to 251, the next available prefix. * feat: add QwenPaw integration test (agentintegration build tag) TestQwenpawRealACPSmoke drives the real qwenpaw acp binary end-to-end: - session/new + session/prompt produces 'pong' - session/load resume with ResumeSessionID works - --workspace flag is forwarded correctly Gated by MULTICA_RUN_REAL_AGENT_SMOKE=1, matching grok/cursor pattern. Validated against QwenPaw v2.0.1. * fix: workspace skills dir 'skills' not 'skill_pool' + add skill loading integration test Two fixes: 1. qwenpaw_workspace.go: write skills to <workspace>/skills/ instead of <workspace>/skill_pool/. QwenPaw's get_workspace_skills_dir() looks for workspace skills at <workspace>/skills/ (store.py:65-67), not skill_pool (which is the shared pool at WORKING_DIR/skill_pool). Verified against real qwenpaw acp — skills in skill_pool/ were never discovered. 2. Add TestQwenpawRealWorkspaceSkill integration test that proves a bound skill is actually loaded and effective: writes a skill that overrides the agent's response, sends an unrelated prompt, and asserts the skill's marker text appears in the output. This addresses R3 review feedback: 'please also add a test that exercises an actually-bound skill'. All three integration tests pass against QwenPaw v2.0.1: - TestQwenpawRealACPSmoke (session/new + prompt + session/load resume) - TestQwenpawRealWorkspaceSkill (skill discovery + effectiveness) * feat: add ACP model discovery for qwenpaw via session/new models field QwenPaw v2.0.1+ now includes a 'models' field (SessionModelState) in the session/new response, added by agentscope-ai/QwenPaw#6531. This lets ACP clients discover available models without session/set_model. - ListModels for qwenpaw now uses discoverACPModels (same pattern as traecli/grok/kiro) to spin up 'qwenpaw acp', call session/new, and parse the models catalog from the response. - discoverQwenpawModels mirrors discoverTraecliModels — ACP-native, no auth selection needed. - Model override via session/set_model remains unsupported: it persists to agent.json at the agent scope (not session-scoped), so calling it would mutate the user's shared agent config. The model picker shows available models for display/selection, but the daemon does not send set_model. - Updated TestQwenpawListModels to verify qwenpaw is a recognized type (not 'unknown agent type' error). * fix: address Bohan-J Review 5 — ModelSelectionSupported=false, version bump to v2.1.0-beta.1, remove debug files - ModelSelectionSupported('qwenpaw') now returns false with rationale (session/set_model persists to agent scope, not session scope) - Add TestQwenpawModelSelectionUnsupported regression test - Update version references from v2.0.1 to v2.1.0-beta.1 (includes agentscope-ai/QwenPaw#6531 — models field in session/new response) - Remove check_ci.py, jobs.json, runs.json debug artifacts * fix: bump qwenpaw migration prefix 251->253 (upstream took 251) Upstream added 251_agent_runtime_unbind. Bump to 253, the next available prefix after 252_agent_builder_draft. * fix: address Bohan-J Review 6 — drop unused discovery, always attribute to unknown - ListModels for qwenpaw returns empty catalog without spawning ACP subprocess (model selection is unsupported, so no consumer exists) - Usage attribution always uses 'unknown' instead of opts.Model (the backend never sends opts.Model to QwenPaw) - Add TestQwenpawUsageModelIgnored regression test - Fix stale v2.0.1 comment in TestQwenpawListModels * chore(agent): clean up qwenpaw model-discovery leftovers Follow-up nits from review 7 on PR #5986: - Drop discoverQwenpawModels: it lost its only caller when ListModels started returning an empty catalog for qwenpaw. - Correct the version contract in qwenpaw.go. The execution path needs only the ACP surface present in v2.0.1 (current stable); the models field on session/new landed in v2.1.0-beta.1 but has no consumer now that model selection is unsupported. - Make TestQwenpawListModels actually guard the no-subprocess promise. It pointed at a nonexistent path, which the old discovery helper also answered with an empty catalog, so it passed either way. It now uses an executable fake that records invocation; verified it fails if a discovery path is reintroduced. - gofmt agent.go (ExecOptions alignment broke when QwenpawWorkspace was added) and restore the trailing newline in qwenpaw_test.go. refactor(skills): make the brief's skill list a names-only index (MUL-5529) (#6207)
* refactor(skills): make the brief's skill list a names-only index (MUL-5529)
Step 3 of MUL-5529. Every runtime CLI discovers the SKILL.md files the daemon
writes and builds its own listing from their frontmatter — verified against 11
locally installed CLIs plus official docs for 5 more. The brief's copy of those
descriptions was therefore the same routing signal paid for twice: measured on
a real task, `## Skills` was 13,295 chars, 40% of the entire brief, against a
16,304-char CLI listing of the same 28 skills.
Now 850 chars for that same set — roughly 3,100 tokens back per brief.
The index itself stays. It is the one skill listing Multica controls; each
CLI's own listing is theirs, and its format — or its existence — can change
with any release.
Three changes:
- Descriptions dropped from the `## Skills` entries.
- The per-provider branch is gone. Its fallback told providers outside a
hardcoded list to read `.agent_context/skills/`, but the only providers
that ever reached it were grok and traecli, whose files are written to
`.grok/skills` and `.traecli/skills` and which discover natively. The
pointer was wrong for everyone it addressed, so removing the branch
deletes the bug rather than relocating it. This closes MUL-5537.
- issue_context.md and its quick-create / autopilot variants no longer render
`## Agent Skills`. That copy duplicated the brief once both were
names-only, and nothing ever read it: no prompt references the path, and
grepping the server finds only the writer. `.agent_context/skills/` had the
same fate for hermes (issue #5242). Quick-create, previously skipped in the
brief and served only by that unread copy, now gets the brief section like
every other kind — one index, one place.
Not included: skills carrying `disable-model-invocation` are still written to
disk for every provider. The plan assumed that key needed provider-specific
handling for everything except claude; probing the installed CLIs shows 9 of 11
honor it, and only opencode and hermes do not. The remaining question is
narrow and a genuine product tradeoff — withholding the file honors the
author's intent but also removes explicit invocation — so it is left to a

fix(skills): give every skill one name across brief, directory, and frontmatter (MUL-5529) (#6189)
* fix(skills): give every skill one name across brief, directory, and frontmatter (MUL-5529)
A skill could answer to three different names at once. The runtime brief listed
`AgentSkillData.Name` verbatim — a workspace skill's human display name ("PR
review") — while the invocable identity on disk is the sanitized slug
(`pr-review`). Separately, ensureSkillFrontmatter returned valid upstream
frontmatter untouched, so a SKILL.md could declare `name: multica-dev-workflow`
inside a directory called `multica-git-workflow`.
That last divergence is the sharp one: runtimes disagree on which field
identifies a skill. Claude routes on the directory name, OpenCode on the
frontmatter `name`. So the same skill is invocable under different names
depending on where it runs, and the brief's instruction to use "only names from
the listing" pointed at names that resolve nowhere.
The slug is authoritative: it is what lands on disk, it derives from the name
users see in the product, and it is the only value with a uniqueness guarantee
(allocateCollisionFreeSkillDir). A frontmatter `name` is author-supplied and two
imported skills may both claim the same one.
- modelVisibleSkills normalizes Name to the slug. All four model-visible
listings (runtime brief + the three issue_context renderers) already route
through it, so they cannot drift apart.
- ensureSkillFrontmatter rewrites `name` to the allocated slug and keeps every
other key byte-identical, so deliberately shaped upstream frontmatter still
survives. The rewrite follows the collision fallback slug too.
- Name matching is now top-level only. An indented `name:` belongs to a nested
mapping; treating it as the skill's identity both missed that the block had no
top-level name and would have spliced a top-level key into the nested one.
Known gap, tracked separately: the listings render the natural slug, so a
collision fallback to `<slug>-multica` still leaves the brief naming the user's
skill. Closing it needs the allocated slug threaded back from Prepare, which the
renderers cannot reach without giving up the byte-identical-brief guarantee.

* fix(skills): cover multi-line name values and in-batch slug collisions (MUL-5529)
Two holes in the name-unification change, both found in review, both
reproduced before fixing.
1. setFrontmatterName replaced only the `name:` line, not the rest of the YAML
value. A value may continue onto indented lines — `name: >-\n upstream`,
multi-line plain scalars, wrapped quoted scalars — so the continuation
survived and YAML folded it into the new value: the block parsed as
"my-slug upstream-name", not "my-slug". The directory == frontmatter-name
invariant this change set exists to establish was still broken, just less
visibly. frontmatterNameSpan now covers the whole value.
As a side effect this also fixes `name:` with the value entirely on the
following line, which previously read as "no name" and got a second
top-level `name` injected above it — two `name` keys, which strict loaders
reject outright.
2. The listings derived slugs with sanitizeSkillName alone, which is not
injective: "A B" and "A-B" both reduce to "a-b". writeSkillFiles resolved
that at write time, so the second skill landed in `a-b-multica` while both
were listed as `a-b` — the second skill had no invocable name and the model
was pointed at the first. This needed no user-installed skill and no
local_directory; two such skills bound to one agent reproduce it in a clean
workdir. resolveSkillSlugs now deduplicates the batch up front and both the
listings and the writer derive from it, with skillSlugCandidate shared so
the in-memory and filesystem allocators cannot disagree on the suffix
sequence.
Slugs are allocated over the unfiltered batch: hidden
(disable-model-invocation) skills are still written to disk and still
consume a slug, so filtering first would shift every later suffix.
Filesystem-dependent collisions against user-installed directories remain out
of scope and are still tracked in MUL-5550.
Regression tests assert the parsed YAML value rather than the output text —
the first line looked correct in every one of these cases — and set-equality
between listed names and the directories actually written. Both were confirmed
to fail against the previous implementation.

* fix(skills): bound the frontmatter name value with the YAML parser (MUL-5529)
Review round two found a valid multi-line name the indentation rule still
mangled. A quoted scalar may wrap onto a line at the *same* indentation as its
key:
name: "upstream
continued"
The rule stopped at the key's line, stranding `continued"` and producing
invalid YAML. Probing the parser showed the same holds for flow collections
(`name: [a,\nb]`, `name: {a: 1,\nb: 2}`), so this was not a quoting special
case: indentation simply does not bound a YAML value, and no amount of
patching the heuristic would have made it one.
Value extent now comes from yaml.v3's own line numbers. frontmatterNameValueSpan
locates the `name` key node and ends the span where the next top-level key
begins, stepping back over blank lines and unindented comments so they survive
the rewrite. Unindented is the operative word: block scalar content is always
indented, so an unindented `#` can only be a comment, while ` # text` inside a
block scalar is value and stays in the span.
Detection stays lexical, in lexicalFrontmatterNameSpan. It runs on malformed
blocks too, where there is no parse to consult, and only decides which branch
to take.
setFrontmatterName now re-parses its own output and returns verified=false
unless `name` really is the slug; ensureSkillFrontmatter then routes to the
existing re-synthesis path rather than emitting a block it cannot vouch for.
This adds no new fallback — it feeds an already-present one. The invariant is
the whole point of the change, so an unprovable rewrite is worth less than a
reformatted block: with the span deliberately broken, output stays valid YAML
carrying the right name and loses only upstream formatting.
Tests extend the table to same-indent single/double quoted scalars, flow
sequences and mappings, and name-as-last-key, and now assert the *input* parses
so a case cannot pass by silently taking the re-synthesis path. Two more cover
comment survival and a `#` line inside a block scalar name. All four
same-indent cases fail against the previous implementation.

* fix(skills): preserve policy keys when the surgical name rewrite fails (MUL-5529)
Review round three: the post-condition check added last round was routing valid
YAML into bare re-synthesis, and re-synthesis emits only name and description.
An anchor on the name value is one way to get there. Replacing the line drops
`&skill_name`, so `description: *skill_name` no longer resolves, the check
correctly rejects the rewrite — and the block was then rebuilt as just:
name: my-slug
`disable-model-invocation: true` went with it. That key is the author's
instruction that a runtime must not surface the skill on its own, and the
SKILL.md we write is what native discovery reads, so losing it advertises a
skill that was deliberately hidden. Confirmed on the written output:
skillDisablesModelInvocation went from true to false. That is a semantic
regression, not the formatting loss the fallback was justified by.
The two failure modes are now separate:
- invalid YAML → re-synthesize, unchanged; there is nothing to preserve.
- valid YAML, rewrite unprovable → renameFrontmatterNameViaNode rebuilds the
block from the parsed node with `name` set to the slug, keeping every other
key. Formatting normalizes; semantics survive.
The anchor is deliberately kept on the name node. Dropping it is what
invalidates a document that aliases it; keeping it means the alias resolves to
the slug — that value changes, but the document still loads and every policy
key is intact. The rebuilt block is re-parsed and checked like the surgical
path, so an unprovable result still falls through to re-synthesis.
Regression test asserts name, disable-model-invocation, and a custom key all
survive, and that the written file still reads as hidden to
skillDisablesModelInvocation. It fails without the new path.
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]>
* fix(skills): materialize aliases before renaming an anchored name (MUL-5529)
Round three kept the anchor on the name node so aliases would not dangle. That
avoided an invalid document but created a worse one: every alias resolves
through the anchor, so renaming the anchored value silently rewrote whatever
those fields meant.
name: &shared "true"
disable-model-invocation: *shared
skillDisablesModelInvocation went true -> false across the rewrite. Same
skill-exposing regression as round three, reached by keeping the key instead of
dropping it — which is the lesson: preserving a key is not the invariant,
preserving each key's resolved value is.
Aliases pointing at the name node are now materialized to the value they
resolved to *before* the rename, and the anchor is dropped afterwards as
unreferenced. Ordering matters: the clones are taken first, so they capture the
original value rather than the slug. Copies are per-alias, since sharing one
node would make the encoder re-emit an anchor/alias pair.
Nested aliases are covered by walking the whole document, not just the top
mapping.
Tests: three shapes (alias carrying the policy value, alias nested in another
mapping, two aliases of one anchor) each assert the fixture starts hidden and
stays hidden, that no anchor or alias survives, and that name is the slug. The
round-three test now also pins its aliased `description` to the pre-rename
value instead of merely tolerating the slug. All four fail without the change.
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]>
* fix(skills): let the parser decide whether a name key exists (MUL-5529)
The branch that chooses between "rewrite the name" and "inject a name" was
still gated on a lexical scan, which only recognizes a bare `name:` carrying a
value on the same line. Two valid spellings therefore read as nameless:
"name": upstream # quoting is syntax, not identity
name: # a key with no value is still the key
Both got a second `name` injected above the existing one, and a duplicate
mapping key is rejected outright — `mapping key "name" already defined`. The
skill does not end up misnamed, it fails to load. Single-quoted keys have the
same problem.
For valid YAML the parsed top-level mapping now answers the question, so any
spelling of the key routes to the rewrite. The lexical scan is confined to the
invalid-YAML branch, where there is no parse to consult and it is only choosing
between re-synthesis and injection. Nesting still reads as absent: a `name`
under another mapping is not the skill's name, so one is added.
Once past the gate the existing paths handle both shapes unchanged, since
frontmatterNameValueSpan already bounds the entry by node line numbers rather
than by how the key is written.
Also tightens the alias tests per review: the nested and two-alias cases now
assert `meta.inner` and `other` still resolve to the anchor's original value,
not merely that visibility survived. The invariant is every key's resolved
value, so every alias should be pinned, not just the one that gates hiding.

MUL-4383 fix(daemon): stop routing CodeBuddy skills/memory through Claude's .claude paths (#5224)
* fix(daemon): stop routing CodeBuddy skills/memory through Claude's .claude paths CodeBuddy Code is a Claude Code fork but ships its own native config directory (~/.codebuddy, .codebuddy/) with its own memory filename (CODEBUDDY.md). It only reads .claude/skills or CLAUDE.md if a user manually symlinks/copies them during migration (https://www.codebuddy.ai/docs/cli/troubleshooting#migrating-from-claude-code). Multica's daemon/execenv code treated "codebuddy" as an alias for "claude" in three places, so skills synced by Multica landed in .claude/skills/ and CLAUDE.md — paths the default CodeBuddy install never reads — instead of ~/.codebuddy/skills, .codebuddy/skills, and CODEBUDDY.md as documented at https://www.codebuddy.ai/docs/cli/codebuddy-dir and https://www.codebuddy.ai/docs/cli/skills. Split the "claude", "codebuddy" switch cases in: - daemon/local_skills.go (user-level local skill discovery/import) - daemon/execenv/context.go (per-task skill materialization) - daemon/execenv/runtime_config.go (runtime brief target file) Added regression tests locking in the new paths and updated the install-agent-runtime / providers docs (all 4 locales) that had documented the old .claude/skills behavior. feat(agent): add Grok Build CLI as an ACP runtime (#5285)
Add xAI Grok Build (`grok`) as a first-class Multica runtime over ACP (`grok --no-auto-update agent --always-approve stdio`), reusing hermesClient like traecli and kimi. Includes daemon discovery, protocol_family migration 174, model discovery, MCP passthrough, thinking effort, frontend branding, and product docs. Follows xAI's documented headless ACP flow: after `initialize`, read the advertised `authMethods` and send `authenticate` (preferring xai.api_key when XAI_API_KEY is set, else the cached login token) before any session operation — a real, logged-in CLI rejects session/new and session/load without it. Model discovery performs the same handshake so it returns the live catalog instead of the static fallback. `--no-auto-update` is passed as a global flag (and kept daemon-owned in the blocked custom-arg set) so a background update check can't stall an unattended ACP task. Thinking effort uses the current `--effort` flag, and the minimum grok version is 0.2.89 (ACP + authenticate + session/load + session/set_model + MCP + --effort). Closes #2895 |

MUL-4398: fix Hermes bound-skill discovery with per-task overlay (#5308)
* fix(execenv): overlay per-task HERMES_HOME so Hermes discovers bound skills Hermes has no workspace-relative skill discovery — it scans <HERMES_HOME>/skills first, then skills.external_dirs from config.yaml (verified against the bundled agent/skill_utils.py). The daemon wrote assigned skills to the generic .agent_context/skills/ fallback, which Hermes never reads, so they silently never took effect (#5242). When (and only when) an agent has skills bound, redirect HERMES_HOME to a minimal per-task compatibility overlay; a skill-less Hermes task keeps its real home and original behavior: - mirror every top-level entry of the shared home via symlink except the overlay-owned ones (denylist), reconciling entries deleted from the shared home; - derive a task-local config.yaml whose skills.external_dirs references the shared skills dir plus the user's existing external_dirs, expanded against the sanitized effective child env (unknown vars preserved, blocklisted keys resolved to the process value) and normalized to absolute paths; - write only the bound skills into the task-local skills/ dir (home skills scanned first, so they win); global skills are referenced, not copied; - keep memories/ overlay-owned (fresh per-task dir) AND disable the external memory.provider, so neither on-disk memory nor a shared backend crosses tasks; - keep active_profile/profiles out of the overlay so Hermes can't follow a sticky profile and redirect past it at startup. Profile handling mirrors hermes_cli.profiles: the daemon reads -p/--profile with agent.HermesProfileFromArgs and seeds the overlay from that profile's home via ResolveHermesSourceHome (default/invalid -> base, valid name -> <base>/profiles/ <name>, validated; a missing named profile fails closed). The profile flags are stripped from the acp argv ONLY when the overlay is active (hermesLaunchArgs), so a skill-less task's profile passes through unchanged. HERMES_HOME is no longer custom_env-blocklisted: no skills -> user value passes through; skills -> overlay overrides after layering. Fail closed — Prepare errors, Reuse returns nil. Task home 0700, derived config 0600 via atomic replace. Platform-native default home (%LOCALAPPDATA%\hermes, incl. the LOCALAPPDATA-missing fallback, on Windows). Tests span execenv/daemon/agent: no-skill no-op, child-env layering + env sanitization, profile parse/unquote + conditional strip + final args/env per scenario, custom/profile/default/invalid/missing/Windows source home, sticky- profile not mirrored, memory dir isolation + external provider disable, mirror reconciliation, external_dirs rebasing + sanitized/unknown-var expansion, local-precedence slug, perms, fail-closed, resume teardown. Docs (en + ja/ko/zh). Fixes #5242 * fix(hermes): make profile selection one resolver contract matching Hermes Round 5 review: the profile chain approximated Hermes' semantics in three separate places (argv parsing, source-home selection, arg filtering), so it diverged from native Hermes in several merge-blocking cases. Collapse it into one authoritative resolution: - agent.ParseHermesProfileArgs replaces HermesProfileFromArgs/ FilterHermesProfileArgs. It reproduces _apply_profile_override step 1/1b (first occurrence, value-flag skipping, `--` and `mcp add --args` boundaries, space-form profile-id guard) and returns the exact argv occurrence to consume; StripHermesProfileArgs removes only that occurrence. - execenv.ResolveHermesProfile replaces ResolveHermesSourceHome. It derives the Hermes root exactly like get_default_hermes_root (an already-profile-scoped HERMES_HOME roots at its grandparent), selects an explicit profile first, otherwise trusts a profile-scoped home (step 1.5) and only then the sticky <root>/active_profile (step 2), and validates via normalize/validate_profile_name (reserved hermes/test/tmp/root/sudo and empty inline `--profile=` are hard errors). Profiles always resolve under the root, so `-p default` re-roots and `-p <sibling>` is a sibling, never nested. - The daemon runs one parse + resolve, fails the task closed on a reserved/ invalid selection (matching Hermes' sys.exit(1)), and exports the selected source home as the effective env's HERMES_HOME so ${HERMES_HOME} in a profile's skills.external_dirs expands against the selected profile home (as native Hermes does before loading config.yaml), not the root or the overlay. Regressions added: root + sticky named profile selection; already-profile-scoped home with no flag; that home with -p default and -p <sibling>; reserved and empty inline profile values; and a selected profile whose external_dirs contains ${HERMES_HOME}. * fix(hermes): overlay-owned derived .env + symlink-resolved root Round 6 review, two remaining overlay-bypass paths: 1. A source `.env` could redirect HERMES_HOME after profile resolution. Hermes runs `_apply_profile_override()` then `load_hermes_dotenv()`, which loads `<HERMES_HOME>/.env` with override=True — so a mirrored source `.env` carrying an out-of-band `HERMES_HOME=` overwrote the overlay's home, repointing skill discovery and memory back at the source. `.env` is now overlay-owned and DERIVED (writeDerivedHermesEnv): it preserves the source's credentials/settings but strips any `HERMES_HOME` assignment and pins `HERMES_HOME` to the overlay last (single-quoted, literal), written 0600 via atomic replace. It is written even when the source has none, so Hermes' project-`.env` fallback (override=True only when no user `.env` loaded) can't relocate the home either. 2. Root derivation was lexical-only, diverging from `get_default_hermes_root`, which compares `env_path.resolve()` with `native_home.resolve()`. A HERMES_HOME symlinked into `<native>/profiles/<x>` was treated as its own root, so `-p default`/`-p <sibling>` resolved wrong. `hermesRootFromHomeFor` now resolves symlinks (Path.resolve(strict=False)-style best effort) for the containment decision while keeping the returned root unresolved, matching Hermes. Regressions: source `.env` with HERMES_HOME replayed through the override=True dotenv order (bound skill + task memory stay on the overlay; creds preserved); minimal overlay `.env` created when the source has none; and a symlinked profile home resolving `-p default`/`-p <sibling>` to the native root. |

feat(agent): add ByteDance TRAE CLI (traecli) as an ACP backend (#4724)
Adds the official ByteDance TRAE CLI (the `traecli` binary documented at https://docs.trae.cn/cli — the product paired with the Trae IDE, not the open-source bytedance/trae-agent) as a built-in agent backend. traecli is ACP-native, so it is driven over the standard ACP JSON-RPC transport via `traecli acp serve --yolo`, reusing the shared hermesClient exactly like the Kiro and Qoder backends. Validated end-to-end against the real traecli v0.120.42 with a logged-in account: initialize advertises loadSession:true + mcpCapabilities{http, sse}; session/new returns result.sessionId + models.availableModels (18 models discovered); session/prompt streams session/update notifications with sessionUpdate=agent_message_chunk (hermesClient already normalizes this Zed-ACP wire shape); a real board task ran 14 tool calls and completed in ~47s. Implementation: - server/pkg/agent/traecli.go: ACP backend; session/load resume (loadSession:true), session/set_model, MCP via ACP mcpServers, --yolo bypass-permissions for headless runs, blocked-arg filtering (acp, serve, --yolo, --print, --output-format, --permission-mode) - agent.go: New() + launch header "traecli acp serve" - models.go: discoverTraecliModels via the shared discoverACPModels - daemon/config.go: auto-detect the `traecli` binary (MULTICA_TRAECLI_PATH / MULTICA_TRAECLI_MODEL) - daemon.go: inline the runtime brief (traecli reads .trae/rules/, not AGENTS.md) and surface the runtime as "Trae" (providerDisplayName) - execenv: AGENTS.md + .traecli/skills wiring; ~/.traecli/skills local root - packages/core mcp-support: traecli consumes mcp_config - frontend: official Trae provider logo - docs: providers.mdx matrix + section, CLI_AND_DAEMON.md, README Tests: fake-ACP unit tests matching the real wire format (streaming, blocked-arg filtering, session/set_model failure, session/load resume) plus a gated real-binary smoke test (TestTraecliRealACPSmoke) that skips when traecli is absent or not logged in. Built-in provider only (mirrors qoder): not in SupportedTypes / RUNTIME_PROFILE_PROTOCOL_FAMILIES, so no migration is needed. Resolves #4376. |

MUL-3416: Issue pre-trigger preview + Handoff Note (#4383)
* feat(issues): unify run-enqueue decision behind WillEnqueueRun + preview endpoint Collapse the issue update/batch enqueue copies into one service predicate service.IssueService.WillEnqueueRun, shared verbatim with a new dry-run endpoint POST /api/issues/preview-trigger so the four entry points stop drifting (squad/self-loop/batch omissions, MUL-3375). The private-agent gate stays at the HTTP boundary: write paths inject allow-all, preview injects the real gate so it never leaks a private agent's readiness. Add suppress_run to issue update/batch: the change applies but no run starts. Remove the now-dead handler mirrors shouldEnqueueSquadLeaderOnAssign / isSquadLeaderReady. service.Create and the comment trigger chain are untouched. Tests: preview behavior, preview<->write-path match, batch aggregation, member no-trigger, suppress_run skip, malformed-body 400. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * feat(issues): inject handoff note into assigned runs via first-class task field Add an optional handoff_note carried by issue assign/promote into the run's opening prompt and issue_context.md, via a dedicated agent_task_queue column (migration 122) and a daemon assignment-handoff render branch — never a fabricated comment, never trigger_comment_id (MUL-3375 §6.1). Thread the note through enqueueIssueTask/enqueueMentionTask + WithHandoff public variants and dispatchIssueRun; suppress_run or a parked write drops it (no run = nothing to inject). Soft version gate: MinHandoffCLIVersion + HandoffSupported, surfaced per-trigger as handoff_supported in the preview so the UI can gray the note box on old daemons; the assignment never hard-fails. Tests: daemon prompt + issue_context render via the assignment branch (not quick-create/comment), version helper matrix, note persists on the task, suppressed assign enqueues nothing. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * feat(issues): leave a display-only handoff record on the timeline When an assign/promote with a handoff note starts a run, write one type='handoff' timeline record via TaskService.RecordHandoff — a direct Queries.CreateComment + timeline event that bypasses Handler.CreateComment, so it never reaches triggerTasksForComment and cannot start a second run (MUL-3375 §6.2, the must-not-retrigger invariant). Author is the actor who handed off; body is the note. Migration 123 admits the 'handoff' comment type. Recorded only on a real run start: suppress_run or a parked write writes nothing. enqueueSquadLeaderTask now reports whether it enqueued so the trace is gated on an actual dispatch. Test: exactly one handoff record on assign-with-note, exactly one task (no re-trigger), and no record when suppressed. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * feat(issues): frontend plumbing for issue-trigger preview + handoff (core) Add api.previewIssueTrigger + IssueTriggerPreviewSchema (zod parseWithFallback), the use-issue-trigger-preview hook, issueKeys.issueTriggerPreview(+All) with WS queue-state invalidation, suppress_run/handoff_note on UpdateIssueRequest, the 'handoff' CommentType, and stripping of the control fields from optimistic update/batch cache patches (MUL-3375 §9). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * fix(issues): exclude handoff records from new-comment counting type='handoff' is a display-only timeline record, not conversation. Exclude it from CountNewCommentsSince so a handoff note never inflates the count of "new comments to catch up on" fed to a claiming agent (MUL-3375 §12). Analytics already excludes it (RecordHandoff is a direct write that emits no analytics event), and the comment-trigger path is already bypassed. Test: a handoff record does not bump the new-comment count; a real comment does. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * feat(issues): pre-trigger preview UI, handoff note, timeline card (web/desktop) Wire the §9 frontend onto the preview endpoint + handoff fields: - Delete the backlog blocking dialog (backlog-agent-hint*) and its modal type; the over-eager nag is gone. Backlog awareness is now a passive label. - RunConfirmModal: single assign + batch assign/status route here. Shows the backend predicate's verdict ("将启动 @X" / "将启动 N 个" / parked), an optional handoff note (assign only, soft-gated by handoff_supported), and 暂不启动 — then applies via update/batch. No frontend guessing. - create modal: passive CreateRunHint ("将启动 @X" / backlog parked). - single status change stays a direct apply (unchanged). - timeline: render type='handoff' as a distinct, non-interactive handoff card. - i18n run_confirm + handoff_card across en/ja/ko/zh-Hans; drop backlog action keys; locale parity green. Tests: use-issue-actions (assign → run-confirm modal, member → direct), create-issue + comment-card suites updated/green; views typecheck + lint clean. The production caller always passes a real anchor — mirror that with a non-matching sentinel uuid. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * test(issues): RunConfirmModal apply logic (start/suppress/note-gate/batch) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * test(core): preview schema malformed/missing/null fallback coverage Cover IssueTriggerPreviewSchema via parseWithFallback (MUL-3375): well-formed parse, top-level + item default fills (empty/older backend), and fallback to { triggers: [], total_count: 0 } for malformed shapes, a dropped required issue_id, a wrong-typed total_count, and null/non-object bodies — so the four entry points degrade to "nothing will start" instead of throwing. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * refactor(issues): remove display-only handoff timeline record (留痕) The handoff "留痕" timeline record (type='handoff' comment written on run start) was judged superfluous and dropped per product call. This removes only the display-only trace; the handoff NOTE injection into the run's opening prompt + issue_context.md is untouched. - backend: drop RecordHandoff + its call in dispatchIssueRun - db: drop the `type <> 'handoff'` exclusion in CountNewCommentsSince and migration 123 (comment_type_check reverts to the 4-type set from 001); no production data exists for this unreleased feature - frontend: drop the "handoff" CommentType, HandoffCard, and handoff_card i18n (all locales) - tests: drop handoff_count_test.go and the record-write assertions in issue_trigger_preview_test.go (note-injection tests retained) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * feat(issues): dismissable run-confirm modal + team-handoff copy Two fixes to the pre-trigger confirm modal (MUL-3375). 1. Dismissable: switch RunConfirmModal from AlertDialog to the standard shadcn Dialog so it has the close (X) button + Esc + click-outside. Previously the only choices were "start" / "don't start now" with no way to abort the action entirely; dismissing now cancels with no write. 2. Copy: rework the action-surface wording away from the backend term "run" toward team-handoff voice — 指派 / 开始 / 交接 (run stays only on record surfaces). Unifies the note's three names to "交接说明", and parallels the rewrite across en/ja/ko. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * chore(agent): bump handoff note min CLI version to 0.3.28 The daemon release that renders handoff notes ships in 0.3.28 (0.3.27 was the prior tag), so move the soft-gate threshold up. Below this the note is silently dropped and the frontend grays the note box — assignment is never blocked. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <[email protected]> * fix(issues): skip run-confirm when batch-moving issues to backlog A move into backlog never starts a run (service/issue_trigger.go), so the pre-trigger confirm modal degenerated to an empty "won't start" box with a single Apply button — pure friction. Apply directly instead, matching the single-issue status path. Other target statuses still route through the modal. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <[email protected]> * feat(issues): refine pre-trigger preview hint and copy - Move the create-issue run hint to a reveal band (grid 0fr→1fr) above the property toolbar. It was sharing the footer button row and, lacking a width constraint, reflowed the submit buttons whenever it appeared. Restyle to a borderless, comment-style avatar+caption that is purely a caption (non-interactive avatar). - Distinguish squad from agent in the pre-trigger copy: a squad's leader evaluates and delegates rather than "starting work" itself. Add will_start_named_squad / will_start_squad / create_will_start_squad across en/zh/ja/ko (reusing the squad_leader_* evaluate→arrange vocabulary) and branch run-confirm + the create hint on squad assignees. - Bold the assignee name in the run-confirm headline via a language-safe sentinel split (no per-language prefix/suffix keys). - Align zh "开始处理" → "开始工作" on the single-assign copy. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <[email protected]> * test(issues): stub ActorAvatar in create-issue suite CreateRunHint now renders an ActorAvatar for agent/squad assignees, which pulls in getActorInitials/getActorAvatarUrl + the workspace/presence/navigation hook tree. This form-focused suite only stubbed getActorName, so the squad-forwarding test crashed with "getActorInitials is not a function". Stub the avatar inert — its own behavior is covered elsewhere. feat(daemon): inject project description into the agent brief (MUL-3465) (#4395)
* feat(daemon): inject project description into the agent brief Issues bound to a project only surfaced the project title in the runtime brief; the project description (durable, project-wide context the owner sets) was loaded but dropped. Carry it end-to-end: - claim handler reads proj.Description onto the response (issue-bound and quick-create paths) - new ProjectDescription field on AgentTaskResponse, daemon Task, and TaskContextForEnv - rendered in the brief's `## Project Context` section and written to .multica/project/resources.json as project_description Empty descriptions render nothing (no extra heading). Updated the projects-and-resources built-in skill docs in the same change. MUL-3465 Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * feat(projects): clarify project description is injected as agent context The project description is now durable context injected into every task's brief, but the UI still presented it as a plain "Description" field, so existing descriptions could silently become agent input. Add a hint under the description editor on the project detail page and in the create-project modal, in all four locales, stating it is shared with agents as context for every task in the project. No data-semantics change. Addresses review feedback on PR #4395. MUL-3465 Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * test(handler): assert project description flows through task claim The execenv tests cover brief rendering, but nothing pinned the claim handler boundary where proj.Description is read onto the response. Add two tests — issue-bound and quick-create paths — so a regression in that assignment fails loudly instead of silently dropping the description. Addresses review feedback on PR #4395. MUL-3305: feat(agent): add qoder CLI as a choice of agent provider. (#2461)
* feat(agent): Qoder ACP runtime, chat reconnect recovery, and task linkage - Add Qoder CLI backend (ACP transport, model discovery, blocked-args policy) - Wire daemon/runtime config, docs, and UI provider assets - Retry terminal task reports; add backoff unit tests - Chat: SQL attach user message to task; handler + optimistic cache reconcile - Invalidate chat/task-messages caches on WS reconnect; extract helper + tests Co-authored-by: Orca <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: Cursor <[email protected]> * chore: drop non-Qoder changes (chat reconnect, task link, terminal report retries) Keep only Qoder runtime, docs, daemon config/execenv, and UI provider assets. Co-authored-by: Orca <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: Cursor <[email protected]> * fix(agent): harden Qoder ACP drain and wire project skills path - Stop streaming to msgCh after reader wait so grace timeout cannot race close - Resolve injected skills to .qoder/skills per Qoder CLI discovery - Update AGENTS.md skill copy and add execenv tests Co-authored-by: Orca <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: Cursor <[email protected]> * feat(qoder): add provider logo and wire MCP config into ACP sessions - Add inline SVG QoderLogo component to provider-logo.tsx, replacing the generic Monitor icon placeholder - Add convertMcpConfigForACP helper to convert Claude-style MCP server config (object map) into ACP array format for session/new and session/resume - Add unit tests for convertMcpConfigForACP covering stdio, SSE, empty/nil, and multi-server cases Co-authored-by: Orca <[email protected]> * fix(test): capture both return values from InjectRuntimeConfig in Qoder test Co-authored-by: Orca <[email protected]> * fix(qoder): preserve remote MCP headers and promote provider errors Addresses review feedback on #2461 (Bohan-J): two runtime-correctness issues in the Qoder ACP backend. 1. Remote MCP headers were dropped. The bespoke convertMcpConfigForACP only forwarded url/type, so an authenticated remote MCP server looked configured in Multica but failed inside the Qoder session. Replace it with the shared buildACPMcpServers helper (same path Hermes/Kimi/Kiro use), which preserves headers as [{name, value}], sorts for deterministic output, and handles remote transport aliases. Fail closed on malformed mcp_config instead of silently dropping servers. 2. Provider failures could report as completed tasks. stderr was wired via io.MultiWriter and the result was only promoted to failed when output was empty, so a terminal upstream error (HTTP 429 / expired token) racing a stopReason=end_turn with text still became "completed". Switch to StderrPipe + an explicit copier, drain it (bounded by the existing grace window, since qodercli can leave a child holding the inherited fds) before the decision, and run the shared promoteACPResultOnProviderError. Tests: replace the convertMcpConfigForACP unit tests with two end-to-end Qoder tests — one asserts the Authorization header reaches the session/new payload as {name, value}, the other asserts a terminal stderr error with non-empty output reports failed. fix(skills): quote description values in built-in SKILL.md YAML frontmatter (#3852)
Built-in SKILL.md description values contained unquoted ': ' sequences, which strict YAML parsers (e.g. Codex) reject — silently dropping the skill at load. - Quote all eight built-in skill descriptions. - ensureSkillFrontmatter() re-synthesizes frontmatter that has a name but fails YAML validation, so malformed imports are repaired instead of dropped. - Unify frontmatter delimiter parsing into a single frontmatterParts helper. - Add strict-YAML regression tests over the built-in skills, plus unit tests for the recovery branch and delimiter variants. fix(execenv): refresh skills in place on reuse instead of accumulating duplicate dirs (#3716)
Re-dispatching the same agent on the same issue reuses the persistent workdir via execenv.Reuse(), where the standard-provider skill refresh re-wrote skills without clearing the prior dispatch's output, so allocateCollisionFreeSkillDir dodged Multica's own directories into issue-review-multica-N. On reuse, reclaim the platform-owned managed skill directories the prior manifest recorded (removeReusedManagedSkillDirs) and roll back the remaining sidecar files (CleanupSidecars) before refreshing, so each skill lands at its canonical slug every dispatch. Mirrors the Codex hydrateCodexSkills wipe; scoped to reuse, which never runs for local_directory tasks. Fixes #3684 (MUL-2963). |

fix(skill): canonicalize reserved SKILL.md path check across daemon + API (#3660)
A skill_file row whose path is the skill's own SKILL.md (persisted by older builds or direct create/update API calls) collides with the primary content the daemon writes itself, failing task prep with errPathPreExists on every non-codex local runtime (#3489). #3526 guarded this with strings.EqualFold(path, "SKILL.md") at the daemon write site and the three API ingress points, but the stored path is not canonicalized: "./SKILL.md" or "sub/../SKILL.md" slip past the exact-match guard while filepath.Join still resolves them onto the same SKILL.md, so prep can still break. Extract one canonical helper, skill.IsReservedContentPath, that cleans the path before the case-insensitive compare, and use it at all four sites (execenv writeSkillFiles, skill create, update, single-file upsert). Add a daemon-side regression test for writeSkillFiles ignoring a bundled SKILL.md (exact + "./" spellings) — the load-bearing fix previously had only API-layer coverage — plus a unit test for the helper. Existing poisoned rows are intentionally left in place (skipped at prep) per the decision on MUL-2928. MUL-2928 Follow-up to #3526; supersedes #3560. MUL-2784 fix(daemon): cleanup sidecar tree (.agent_context / .multica / provider skills) after local_directory tasks (#3444)
* fix(daemon): cleanup .agent_context / .multica / provider skill sidecars after local_directory tasks (MUL-2784) PR #3438 (MUL-2753) only restored CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md / GEMINI.md to their pre-task bytes; the sidecar tree writeContextFiles seeds (.agent_context/, .multica/, .claude/skills/, .github/skills/, .opencode/skills/, skills/, .pi/skills/, .cursor/skills/, .kimi/skills/, .kiro/skills/, .agents/skills/, fallback .agent_context/skills/) was explicitly deferred to this follow-up. In local_directory mode the agent's workdir is the user's repo, so each task accumulates one more layer of those directories in the user's tree. Plan A: track every file/dir Prepare creates inside workDir in a sidecarManifest written to envRoot/.multica_sidecar_manifest.json (daemon scratch — never in the user's workdir). On local_directory teardown CleanupSidecars walks the manifest, removes the recorded files, then rmdir-iterates the recorded directories in reverse. Pre-existing files and directories are deliberately NOT recorded, so a user-installed .claude/skills/my-own-skill/ sibling — or any unrelated file the user keeps under .claude/, .github/, etc. — is preserved bit-for-bit. Non-empty rmdir fails ENOTEMPTY and is silently skipped, which is the signal that the user owns the directory. Daemon wiring lives next to the existing CleanupRuntimeConfig defer in runTask: runtime brief first, sidecars second. Cloud-mode runs still write a manifest for symmetry but never trigger the cleanup (the GC loop wipes envRoot wholesale). Tests (sidecar_manifest_test.go) cover the round-trip invariant per the issue's acceptance criteria: - empty workdir → Prepare → Cleanup → empty workdir, byte-exact, for every file-based provider (claude, codex, copilot, opencode, openclaw, hermes, pi, cursor, kimi, kiro, antigravity, gemini), - user's .claude/skills/my-own-skill/ (and equivalents per provider) survives Cleanup intact, - unrelated user files under .claude/, .github/, etc. survive, - three repeated cycles do not accumulate any orphan state, - project_resources branch (.multica/project/resources.json) is also reversible, - recordWriteFile refuses to record pre-existing files, - recordMkdirAll refuses to record pre-existing dirs, - Cleanup is a no-op when the manifest file is missing. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * fix(daemon): refuse to overwrite pre-existing sidecar paths; pick collision-free skill slugs (MUL-2784 review) Addresses PR #3444 review (Elon): **Must-fix #1**: recordWriteFile used to overwrite pre-existing target files unconditionally and only skip the manifest record. That destroys user bytes at write time AND leaves the corrupted contents in place at cleanup time — the byte-exact contract the issue requires is violated on both halves. Fixed by making recordWriteFile detect any pre-existing entry (regular file, symlink, directory) via Lstat and return a sentinel errPathPreExists without touching the path. The user's bytes are preserved verbatim. For per-skill collisions (user's .claude/skills/issue-review/ vs Multica's "Issue Review"), writeSkillFiles now allocates a collision-free sibling slug via allocateCollisionFreeSkillDir: first attempt is the natural slug, then `<base>-multica`, `<base>-multica-2`, …, bounded at 64 attempts. Provider-native discovery still picks the skill up (every subdir under skillsParent is a distinct skill) and the user's path stays bit-for-bit intact. For Multica-only namespace files (.agent_context/issue_context.md, .multica/project/resources.json), the writer swallows errPathPreExists and continues — the runtime brief already carries every fact those files would, so a collision degrades to brief-only mode rather than destroying user content. **Must-fix #2**: Added byte-exact collision matrix tests covering every file-based provider (claude / codex / copilot / opencode / openclaw / hermes / pi / cursor / kimi / kiro / antigravity / gemini): - TestPrepareThenCleanupSidecarsSameSlugCollisionPerProvider: seeds user's `<provider>/skills/issue-review/SKILL.md` plus a private notes.md sibling, runs Prepare → Inject → Cleanup, asserts workdir snapshot is byte-identical to seed. - TestPrepareThenCleanupSidecarsIssueContextCollisionPerProvider: seeds user's `.agent_context/issue_context.md`, asserts round-trip preserves it. - TestPrepareThenCleanupSidecarsProjectResourcesCollisionPerProvider: same for `.multica/project/resources.json`. - TestPrepareThenCleanupSidecarsMultiSkillCollisionFreeAllocation: end-to-end check that the Multica skill lands at the collision-free sibling and Cleanup removes only the Multica side. - TestAllocateCollisionFreeSkillDir: directed unit test pinning the slug-bumping sequence. - TestRecordWriteFileRefusesToOverwritePreExistingFile (was TestRecordWriteFileSkipsPreExistingFile): flipped to assert the user's bytes survive and errPathPreExists is returned. - TestRecordWriteFileRefusesToOverwriteSymlinkOrDir: covers the Lstat path for non-file entries. **Should-fix**: CleanupSidecars used to swallow ANY non-ENOENT rmdir error as "user content present," silently dropping real I/O failures (EACCES, EPERM, EBUSY). Now it re-reads the directory after a failed rmdir via the new dirHasEntries helper — non-empty → silently skip (ENOTEMPTY, the intended branch); empty → genuine error, captured into firstErr and surfaced. Plus directed tests: - TestCleanupSidecarsSurfacesRealRmdirErrors - TestDirHasEntries Local verification: - go test ./internal/daemon/execenv/... — all green - go test ./internal/daemon/... — all green - go vet ./... — clean Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * fix(daemon): surface original rmdir error when post-rmdir ReadDir also fails (MUL-2784 review) Addresses remaining PR #3444 review blocker (Elon): dirHasEntries used to return true when ReadDir failed with anything other than ENOENT, which made CleanupSidecars treat every locked / faulted directory as ENOTEMPTY and silently drop the original rmdir error. The v1 fix from the previous round closed the EACCES-on-empty-dir branch but missed the case where the chmod also blocks ReadDir — exactly the failure mode the review called out. Helper change: dirHasEntries now returns (hasEntries, ok bool): - (false, true) — dir exists and is empty (or missing, race-safe) - (true, true) — dir has user content (the ENOTEMPTY branch) - (_, false) — ReadDir failed (EACCES, ENOTDIR, EIO, …); the caller cannot tell ENOTEMPTY from a real error and MUST surface the original rmdir error CleanupSidecars switches on (ok, hasEntries): - !ok → surface the ORIGINAL rmdir error (not the ReadDir failure — that's diagnostic plumbing and would distract from the root cause) - ok && hasEntries → swallow silently (intended ENOTEMPTY branch; preserve user content) - ok && !hasEntries → surface the rmdir error (empty dir + EACCES / EPERM / EBUSY → genuine cleanup failure) Tests: - TestDirHasEntries: extended with a regular-file sub-case (ReadDir returns ENOTDIR) asserting (false, false). The v1 helper returned (true) here, hiding the bug. - TestCleanupSidecarsSwallowsMissingAndNonEmptyDirs: renamed from TestCleanupSidecarsSurfacesRealRmdirErrors. The old name claimed to test the surfacing path but never actually exercised it. - TestCleanupSidecarsSurfacesEACCESOnEmptyRecordedDir: chmod parent to 0o555 so rmdir(recorded) fails EACCES while ReadDir(recorded) still succeeds (empty). Asserts firstErr is non-nil and references both the recorded path and the rmdir branch. Skipped when running as root (chmod is bypassed for uid 0). - TestCleanupSidecarsSurfacesEACCESWhenReadDirFailsToo: the must-fix case — chmod parent 0o555 AND chmod recorded 0o000 so BOTH rmdir and ReadDir fail. The surfaced error must be the ORIGINAL rmdir failure, not the ReadDir one. Skipped on uid 0. Local verification: - go test ./internal/daemon/execenv/... — all green - go test ./internal/daemon/... — all green - go vet ./... — clean Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> --------- Co-authored-by: J <[email protected]> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> |

MUL-2767 feat(agent): add Antigravity runtime backend (#3427)
* feat(agent): add Antigravity runtime backend Adds Google's Antigravity CLI (`agy`) as the 12th supported coding-tool runtime, alongside Claude / Codex / Cursor / Copilot / Gemini / Hermes / Kimi / Kiro / OpenCode / OpenClaw / Pi. The CLI emits plain assistant text on stdout (no structured event stream), so the backend streams stdout line-by-line as `MessageText` events and accumulates the same text as the final `Result.Output`. Session resumption uses `--conversation <id>`; because the conversation UUID is not echoed on stdout, the daemon routes `--log-file` to a temp file and recovers the id from the glog-formatted log lines. MUL-2767 Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * fix(agent): correct Antigravity capability contract from Elon review - ModelSelectionSupported now returns false for antigravity. `agy` has no --model flag and antigravityBackend deliberately drops opts.Model, so the UI must render a disabled "Managed by runtime" picker instead of an empty dropdown plus a silently-ignored manual-entry field. Also stop seeding AgentEntry.Model from MULTICA_ANTIGRAVITY_MODEL — the backend would silently ignore it. - Antigravity skills now write to {workDir}/.agents/skills/, the CLI's native workspace path (inherits Gemini CLI's layout per https://antigravity.google/docs/gcli-migration). Previously they went to the .agent_context/skills/ fallback that the CLI doesn't scan. Runtime brief moves antigravity into the native-discovery branch and local_skills.go points the user-level skill root at ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/skills for Runtime → local skill import. - Doc + UI comment sync: providers matrix / install-agent-runtime / cloud-quickstart / agents-create / tasks (session-resume support) / skills / README all now list Antigravity in the right buckets, and the model-picker / model-dropdown comments cite antigravity (not the stale hermes reference) as the supported=false example. New tests: TestAntigravityModelSelectionUnsupported, TestInjectRuntimeConfigAntigravity (native discovery wording), TestWriteContextFilesAntigravityNativeSkills (.agents/skills/ landing, .agent_context/skills/ NOT written). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * feat(provider-logo): swap inline placeholder for real Antigravity PNG Replaces the hand-drawn planet+arc placeholder with the official asset shipped from Downloads. Stored next to the component; bundlers (Next.js / electron-vite) resolve the PNG import to a URL string at build time. fix(runtimes): anchor OpenCode skill + AGENTS.md discovery to task workdir (MUL-2416) (#2849)
* fix(runtimes): anchor OpenCode skill + AGENTS.md discovery to task workdir OpenCode resolves its project discovery root from `--dir` and `PWD` before falling back to `process.cwd()`. The daemon set `cmd.Dir = workDir` but never overrode the inherited `PWD`, so OpenCode walked from the daemon's shell directory and silently bypassed the per-task workdir — agents lost visibility into `.opencode/skills/` and `AGENTS.md`, falling back to whatever global skills the host had installed (MUL-2416). - Pass `opencode run --dir <workDir>` and override `PWD=<workDir>` in the child env so AGENTS.md walk-up + `.opencode/skills` project config scan both anchor on the task workdir. - Block `--dir` from custom args so user overrides cannot re-introduce the regression. - Plumb skill `description` from DB through service / daemon / execenv. `writeSkillFiles` synthesizes a YAML frontmatter block (`name`, optional `description`) when the stored content lacks one, since runtimes like OpenCode silently drop SKILL.md files without a parseable `name`. Existing frontmatter is preserved unchanged so upstream-imported skills (GitHub / ClawHub / Skills.sh) keep their hand-shaped metadata. Tests: - New fake-CLI test confirms argv carries `--dir <workDir>` and the child sees `PWD=<workDir>`. - New test confirms a user-supplied `--dir` in custom_args is dropped. - New execenv tests cover synthesized frontmatter and preservation of pre-existing frontmatter. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * fix(runtimes): inject SKILL.md `name` when upstream frontmatter omits it Skills imported with frontmatter that sets `description` but leaves `name` implicit (relying on the directory slug, as common in GitHub/Skills.sh imports) still hit OpenCode's "no parseable name → drop" path because the DB Name fallback never made it into the SKILL.md body. ensureSkillFrontmatter now scans the existing block and, when name is missing or empty, prepends `name: <slug>` while preserving description, body, and any runtime-specific keys verbatim. Also tighten yamlEscapeInline to always double-quote so descriptions that look like YAML keywords (`null`, `true`, `[foo]`, `{x: y}`, `2024-01-01`) parse as strings rather than getting reinterpreted and rejected. Adds regression test for the nameless-frontmatter case and updates the existing OpenCode skill test for the always-quoted description format. feat(execenv): native OpenClaw skill discovery via per-task config (MUL-2219) (#2628)
* feat(execenv): native OpenClaw skill discovery via per-task config
MUL-2213 stopped lying about native discovery and routed openclaw skills
to .agent_context/skills/ — a path openclaw's scanner never reads.
Multica skills attached to openclaw-backed agents were still invisible to
the runtime; the AGENTS.md fallback was only a documentation patch.
OpenClaw's skill scanner walks <workspaceDir>/skills/ (plus a few other
roots), and workspaceDir is resolved from the openclaw config file —
specifically agents.list[id].workspace → agents.defaults.workspace →
~/.openclaw/workspace. There is no CLI flag or env var override on the
agent runtime; the only knob is the config file.
This change wires a per-task synthesized config:
1. execenv.prepareOpenclawConfig deep-copies the user's existing
openclaw.json (priority: $OPENCLAW_CONFIG_PATH, else
~/.openclaw/openclaw.json), rewrites agents.defaults.workspace AND
every agents.list[].workspace to the task workdir, and writes the
result to {envRoot}/openclaw-config.json. Provider sections,
registered agents, model providers, gateway settings — everything
openclaw needs to actually start — are preserved as-is.
2. resolveSkillsDir for "openclaw" now points at {workDir}/skills/,
which is the first path openclaw scans under workspaceDir. Skills
written here are picked up natively.
3. daemon.go exports OPENCLAW_CONFIG_PATH={env.OpenclawConfigPath} on
the openclaw subprocess and adds OPENCLAW_CONFIG_PATH to the
custom_env blocklist so users cannot accidentally override it.
4. buildMetaSkillContent now lists openclaw alongside the
"discovered automatically" providers; the .agent_context/skills/
fallback line stays for gemini/hermes.
The new regression test TestPrepareOpenclawSkillWriteMatchesScanPath is
the one MUL-2219's DoD calls out: it resolves the workspaceDir the way
openclaw does (reading agents.defaults.workspace out of the synthesized
config) and proves {workspaceDir}/skills/<name>/SKILL.md is what Multica
actually wrote. The pre-MUL-2219 fix asserted "we wrote a file" without
checking the scanner would ever see it — which is how the dead drop into
.openclaw/skills/ landed in #2621's first commit.
Verified locally: minimum-viable synthesized config validates via
`openclaw config validate`, and `OPENCLAW_CONFIG_PATH=<path> openclaw
config get agents.defaults.workspace` returns the task workdir as
expected. MUL-2219

* fix(execenv): delegate openclaw config parsing to CLI and fail closed
Address Elon's must-fix on PR #2628: the previous implementation parsed
~/.openclaw/openclaw.json with encoding/json, which cannot read JSON5
or follow $include — the OpenClaw spec's actual format. When parsing
failed, prepareOpenclawConfig silently emitted a minimal config, which
could boot OpenClaw without the user's registered agents, model
providers, or API keys.
Two changes:
1. Delegate active-config-path resolution and config reading to the
openclaw CLI itself. `openclaw config file` locates the active
config (covering OPENCLAW_CONFIG_PATH / OPENCLAW_STATE_DIR /
OPENCLAW_HOME / default and the legacy chain), and the wrapper we
write uses $include to point at it so OpenClaw's own loader handles
JSON5, $include nesting, env-substitution, and secret refs. We read
only agents.list via `openclaw config get --json` to rewrite each
entry's workspace — secrets, comments, and includes in the user
config are never touched.
2. Remove the silent minimal-config fallback. Any CLI failure,
malformed output, or write error now surfaces as a hard error from
Prepare / Reuse. The only "synthesize minimal" path left is a fresh
install (CLI reports a path but the file doesn't exist), where
there is no user data to lose.
The per-task override still rewrites every agents.list[].workspace,
not just agents.defaults.workspace — this is intentional task
isolation, documented in prepareOpenclawConfig and the PR body. A
host-scope per-agent workspace would otherwise silently route the
scanner back to the user's shared workspace.
Cleanups Elon flagged in the same review:
- daemon.go inline-system-prompt comment no longer claims openclaw
ignores the task workdir; it does load it now, and the inline brief
is a belt-and-suspenders carryover for older releases.
- execenv.go openclaw block no longer references "skill file paths in
the inline brief" — the brief uses "discovered automatically".
Reuse() switches to a ReuseParams struct so the openclaw binary path
threads through alongside CodexVersion without a 6th positional arg.

* fix(execenv): grant OpenClaw $include cross-dir confinement for per-task wrapper
The per-task wrapper at envRoot/openclaw-config.json $includes the user's
active config (typically ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json), but OpenClaw confines
$include resolution to the wrapper file's directory unless the target's
parent is granted via OPENCLAW_INCLUDE_ROOTS. Without this, OpenClaw refuses
to follow the link at runtime and the wrapper boots with no user-registered
agents.
prepareOpenclawConfig now returns dirname(activePath) as IncludeRoot, and
the daemon prepends it to whatever the user already has in
OPENCLAW_INCLUDE_ROOTS via the new composeOpenclawIncludeRoots helper
(dedupes, drops empty segments, preserves user-configured roots). Fresh
install emits no $include and leaves the env var untouched.
Adds OPENCLAW_INCLUDE_ROOTS to the custom_env blocklist so a per-agent
override cannot strip the granted root.
Regression tests:
- TestPrepareOpenclawConfigWrapperLoadableUnderIncludeConfinement asserts
every $include target's dirname is covered by the IncludeRoot we surface.
- TestPrepareEnvironmentOpenclawWiresIncludeRoot covers the non-fresh-install
Environment wiring.
- TestComposeOpenclawIncludeRoots covers the daemon-side env composition
(preserve, dedupe, drop empties).

fix(execenv): fall back OpenClaw skills to .agent_context/skills/ and stop claiming native auto-discovery (#2621)
* fix(execenv): write OpenClaw skills to .openclaw/skills/ for native discovery The OpenClaw provider was missing a case in resolveSkillsDir, so workspace skills attached to OpenClaw-backed agents fell through to .agent_context/ skills/ — a path the openclaw CLI never inspects. The result: agents created against the OpenClaw runtime saw zero of their loaded Skills in chat or task runs, even though the meta AGENTS.md content advertised them as auto-discovered. Mirrors the same per-provider mapping already in place for OpenCode, Copilot, Pi, Cursor, Kimi, Kiro. Also adds .openclaw to the repocache git-exclude list so the per-task skills directory does not pollute checked-out repos. MUL-2213 Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]> * fix(execenv): drop .openclaw/skills dead-drop write; flag openclaw as non-auto-discovery Reviewer (Elon) pointed out that {workDir}/.openclaw/skills/ is not in any OpenClaw skill discovery path. Confirmed by reading openclaw upstream (src/agents/skills/refresh.ts, src/agents/agent-scope-config.ts, src/cli/program/register.agent.ts): - OpenClaw scans <workspaceDir>/skills, <workspaceDir>/.agents/skills, ~/.openclaw/skills, ~/.agents/skills, bundled, and config skills.load.extraDirs. - workspaceDir is resolved from the openclaw config (per-agent workspace -> agents.defaults.workspace -> ~/.openclaw/workspace). It is NOT the cwd of the openclaw process. - There is no --workspace CLI flag on 'openclaw agent', and no OPENCLAW_WORKSPACE env var consumed at runtime. The only knob is the config file. So {workDir}/.openclaw/skills/ written by Multica is never seen by the openclaw runtime, and the meta AGENTS.md was lying to the agent by claiming auto-discovery. Reverts: - resolveSkillsDir: drop the openclaw case; falls back to .agent_context/skills/ (same path as hermes). - agentGitExcludePatterns: drop .openclaw; nothing is written there now. Also updates the openclaw branch in buildMetaSkillContent to point the agent at .agent_context/skills/ explicitly (alongside gemini/hermes), so loaded skills are at least referenced by path in the AGENTS.md context. The openclaw native loader still won't see them as installed skills. Native auto-discovery for openclaw needs per-task workspace integration (e.g. synthesized per-task config via OPENCLAW_CONFIG_PATH that overrides agents.defaults.workspace, or resolving the agent's actual configured workspace at exec time) — tracked as follow-up. fix(daemon): optimize quick-create prompt for high-fidelity descriptions (#1969)
The previous description rule ("stay faithful + keep it concise") caused
agents to over-compress user input into vague single-sentence summaries,
losing context that the executing agent needs.
Key changes:
- Replace "keep it concise" with structured two-section format:
User request (faithful restate) + Context (verifiable external facts)
- Add hard rules against information compression and semantic downgrading
- Remove "one-line description" phrasing (UI supports richer input)
- Strip redundant behavioral rules from issue_context.md (already
covered by AGENTS.md guardrails and per-turn prompt)

feat(projects): typed project resources + agent runtime injection (#1926)
* feat(projects): typed project resources + agent runtime injection
Adds a `project_resource` table that lets a project carry typed pointers
(github_repo today, more later) and surfaces them at agent runtime.
Server
- migration 065: project_resource (resource_type TEXT + resource_ref JSONB)
- sqlc CRUD + handler at /api/projects/{id}/resources
- claim handler attaches project_id/title + resources to issue tasks
Daemon
- TaskContextForEnv carries project context
- writes .multica/project/resources.json into workdir
- adds "## Project Context" block to CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md / GEMINI.md
via type-dispatched formatter so new resource types just add a case
CLI
- multica project create --repo <url> attaches repos in one step
- multica project resource add/list/remove
Frontend
- Project create modal: Repos pill (workspace repos + ad-hoc URL)
- Project detail sidebar: collapsible Resources section with attach/remove
Docs
- New "Project Resources" chapter explaining the abstraction and
exactly what code to touch when adding a new resource type
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <[email protected]>
* fix(projects): transactional resources[] on create + generic CLI ref + test fix
Addresses review feedback on PR #1926:
1. CI red: TestProjectResourceLifecycle delete step called withURLParam
twice, which replaced the chi route context and dropped the project id.
Switched to the existing withURLParams helper from daemon_test.go.
2. POST /api/projects now accepts resources[] and attaches them in the
same transaction as the project. Invalid refs roll back the whole
create — no more half-attached projects on failure. Web modal + CLI
`project create --repo` both use the new bundled payload.
3. CLI `project resource add` now accepts a generic --ref '<json>' flag
so a new resource_type works without a CLI change. Per-type
shortcuts (--url for github_repo) remain as a convenience but are no
longer the only way in. Docs updated to drop the CLI from the
"files you must touch" list.
Adds two new server handler tests:
- TestCreateProjectAttachesResources (resources[] happy path)
- TestCreateProjectRollsBackOnInvalidResource (transactional rollback)

feat: quick-create issue (async agent + inbox completion) (#1786)
* feat(server): add quick-create issue async task path Adds POST /api/issues/quick-create which validates the picked agent's reachability up front (not archived, has runtime, runtime online) then queues an issue-less agent task whose context JSONB carries the user's natural-language prompt + requester + workspace. Daemon claim resolves the workspace from the context, and the prompt builder switches to a quick-create template instructing the agent to translate the prompt into a single multica issue create call. Task completion writes a success inbox item to the requester pointing at the newly-created issue (located by querying the agent's most recent issue in the workspace since task start, so we don't depend on agent stdout shape). Failures write an action_required inbox item carrying the original prompt + agent id so the frontend can offer "Edit as advanced form" without losing input. * feat(views): quick-create issue modal + inbox failure CTA Adds a streamlined create-issue UI bound to the c shortcut: pick an agent, type one line, submit. The modal closes immediately and the agent translates the prompt into a multica issue create call in the background. Shift+c keeps the legacy advanced form for users who want every field. The "Advanced" button inside the new modal seeds the shared issue-draft store with the prompt + picked agent so switching mid-flow doesn't lose input. Last-used agent persists per (user, workspace) via a workspace-aware zustand store so frequent users skip the picker on every open. Inbox renders quick_create_done items with a status pin to the new issue and quick_create_failed items with an "Edit as advanced form" CTA that re-seeds the legacy modal with the original prompt. ApiError now carries the parsed JSON body so the modal can branch on the structured agent_unavailable code without parsing the error message. * fix(quick-create): execenv injection, claim race, private-agent permission Addresses GPT-Boy review on #1786: 1. execenv was rendering the assignment-task issue_context.md / runtime workflow even for quick-create, telling the agent to call `multica issue get/status/comment add` against an empty IssueID. Adds QuickCreatePrompt to TaskContextForEnv, plus a quick-create branch in renderIssueContext + the runtime_config workflow that instructs the agent to run a single `multica issue create` and exit, with explicit "do NOT call issue get/status/comment add" guards. 2. ClaimAgentTask serialized only on issue_id / chat_session_id, so concurrent quick-creates on the same agent (both NULL on those columns) ran in parallel — making the success-inbox lookup race over "most recent issue by this agent". Adds a third OR clause that treats "all four FKs NULL" as a serialization key for the same agent, so quick-create tasks on a given agent run one at a time. 3. QuickCreateIssue handler bypassed the private-agent ownership rule that validateAssigneePair enforces elsewhere — a user could POST a private agent_id they didn't own and trigger it. Now routes the picked agent through validateAssigneePair before the runtime liveness check. 4. Clarifies the quick-create-store namespacing comment to match the actual workspace-aware StateStorage convention used by the other issue stores (per-user is browser-profile-local). * fix(quick-create): branch Output section + deterministic origin lookup Addresses GPT-Boy's second-pass review on #1786: 1. The runtime_config.go Output section forced "Final results MUST be delivered via multica issue comment add" for every non-autopilot task — quick-create still got this conflicting instruction even though there's no issue to comment on. Switched the Output block to a three-way switch so quick-create gets a tailored "stdout is captured automatically; do NOT call comment add" branch matching the autopilot variant. 2. Completion lookup was "most recent issue created by this agent since task.started_at", which races against concurrent issue creates by the same agent (assignment task running alongside quick-create when max_concurrent_tasks > 1). Replaced with a deterministic origin link: - Migration 060 extends issue.origin_type CHECK to allow 'quick_create'. - Daemon sets MULTICA_QUICK_CREATE_TASK_ID env var when running a quick-create task. - multica issue create CLI reads the env var and stamps the new issue with origin_type=quick_create + origin_id=<task_id>. - Server CreateIssue handler accepts (origin_type, origin_id) from trusted callers (only "quick_create" is allowed; the pair is rejected unless both fields are provided together). - notifyQuickCreateCompleted now calls GetIssueByOrigin keyed on (workspace_id, "quick_create", task.ID) — no more time-window racing against parallel agent activity. The old GetRecentIssueByCreatorSince query is removed. |

feat(agent): add Kimi CLI as agent runtime (#1400)
* feat(agent): add Kimi CLI as agent runtime Adds support for Moonshot AI's Kimi Code CLI (https://github.com/MoonshotAI/kimi-cli) as a new agent runtime, alongside Claude, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes, Gemini, Pi, Cursor and Copilot. Kimi Code CLI implements the standard Agent Client Protocol (ACP) via the `kimi acp` subcommand, so the new `kimiBackend` reuses the existing hermesClient JSON-RPC transport in the agent package — only the binary, client identity, log prefix, and tool-name extraction differ. Wiring: - server/pkg/agent: new kimiBackend + kimi_test.go; registered in New(), LaunchHeader map, and the supported-types coverage test. - server/internal/daemon/config.go: probes `kimi` (overridable via MULTICA_KIMI_PATH / MULTICA_KIMI_MODEL). - server/internal/daemon/execenv: writes AGENTS.md as the runtime context file (Kimi reads AGENTS.md natively via /init), and writes skills under `.kimi/skills/` so they are auto-discovered by the project-level skill loader. - packages/views/runtimes: ProviderLogo gains a Kimi mark. Co-authored-by: Copilot <[email protected]> * feat(agent/kimi): support per-agent model selection via ACP set_model Wire Kimi into the model dropdown introduced in #1399: - ListModels gets a 'kimi' case that drives the same ACP initialize + session/new handshake as Hermes; both share a new discoverACPModels helper and parseACPSessionNewModels parser so future ACP backends only need a small provider entry. - kimiBackend now issues session/set_model after session/new when opts.Model is non-empty, mirroring the Hermes flow. Failures fail the task instead of silently falling back to Kimi's default model — silent fallback would hide that the dropdown pick wasn't honoured. Verified: go build ./..., go test ./pkg/agent/... ./internal/daemon/... ./internal/handler/..., pnpm typecheck and pnpm test (138 passed). Co-authored-by: Copilot <[email protected]> * refactor(agent): address code review feedback on Kimi runtime - Share ACP provider-error sniffer between hermes and kimi. Previously only hermes promoted stderr-observed 4xx/5xx into a failed task; kimi would report "completed + empty output" when the Moonshot upstream rejected a request (expired token, rate limit, …). Rename hermesProviderErrorSniffer → acpProviderErrorSniffer and parameterise the provider name; wire it into kimiBackend.Execute the same way. - Rename extractHermesSessionID → extractACPSessionID (shared by all ACP backends) so the name matches parseACPSessionNewModels. - Drop the redundant second argument to kimiToolNameFromTitle; the Message struct has only one relevant field (Tool), so passing it twice was a dead fallback. Document that the function normalises residual capitalised kimi titles not caught by hermesToolNameFromTitle. - Remove kimi-only cmd.WaitDelay override; the hermes baseline is fine for both and divergence adds noise. - Add TestKimiBackendSetModelFailureFailsTask: fake `kimi acp` binary that returns a JSON-RPC error for session/set_model, asserts that the task result surfaces status=failed with the model name + upstream message and preserves the session id. - Fix stale agent listings in agent.go / daemon/config.go doc comments (missing cursor, gemini, copilot). All: `go build ./...`, `go vet ./...`, `go test ./pkg/agent/... ./internal/daemon/... ./internal/handler/...` green. * fix(agent/kimi): pass --yolo so Shell tools don't hang on approval Kimi's default config has `default_yolo = false`. Every Shell/file-mutating tool call causes kimi acp to send a `session/request_permission` request and block (up to 300s) waiting for a response. The daemon's hermesClient only handles `session/update` notifications — permission requests go unanswered, the tool call times out, and the UI loop eventually dies ("UI loop timed out"). Observed with the first real kimi task: agent sat as Live for ~7 minutes before the daemon killed it. The fix mirrors hermes' HERMES_YOLO_MODE=1 override: pass `--yolo` to `kimi` so it auto-approves everything. `--yolo` is a top-level flag on the `kimi` CLI (not a flag on `kimi acp`), so it must come before the `acp` subcommand in argv. Added to kimiBlockedArgs so user custom_args can't strip it. While here, fix a related bug that made kimi tool names show up empty in the daemon log ("tool #1: "): hermesToolNameFromTitle's fallback returned `kind` when neither title-with-colon nor kind matched a known tool. Kimi's ACP `tool_call` emits bare titles like "Shell" or "Read file" with no `kind` at all, so we'd drop the title on the floor before kimiToolNameFromTitle ever got a chance to map it. Now: preserve the title when kind is unclassified; hermes titles always carry a colon so this branch never fires for hermes. Tests: - TestKimiBackendPassesYoloFlag — fake binary that records its argv, asserts --yolo comes before acp. - TestHermesToolNameFromTitle rows for bare kimi-style titles. - Existing suite green: go build, go vet, full pkg/agent + daemon + handler test packages. * fix(agent/acp): auto-approve session/request_permission from agent The previous attempt (`kimi --yolo acp`) was a no-op. Inspected the kimi-cli source: the `acp` Typer subcommand takes no parameters, so flags on the root `kimi` command are dropped before `acp_main()` runs — it's impossible to opt into YOLO mode through CLI flags for ACP. The real fix is on our side: respond to session/request_permission. ACP is bidirectional. When kimi runs a Shell or file-write tool, it sends `session/request_permission` (agent → client, JSON-RPC request with id + method) and waits up to 300s for a response. Our existing hermesClient.handleLine only dispatched: (id + result/error) → handleResponse, and (no id + method) → handleNotification. A request with BOTH id and method fell through and got silently dropped — kimi timed out, UI loop died, task sat stuck for 7 minutes. Add handleAgentRequest: for session/request_permission, echo the id and respond with outcome=selected, optionId=approve_for_session. The daemon is headless; there's no user to prompt. `approve_for_session` lets the agent remember the action so subsequent identical calls (every Shell, every file write) skip the round-trip entirely. For any other agent → client method, reply with standard -32601 method-not- found so the agent doesn't block. Also: - Add writeMu so request() (main goroutine) and handleAgentRequest (reader goroutine) don't interleave JSON frames on stdin. - Revert the `--yolo acp` flag — it's a no-op, and carrying it in kimiBlockedArgs gives the wrong impression that it does something. Comment in kimi.go now points at handleAgentRequest as the real fix. Tests: - TestHermesClientAutoApprovesPermissionRequest: inject a session/request_permission, assert the reply echoes the id and carries {outcome: selected, optionId: approve_for_session}. - TestHermesClientReplesMethodNotFoundForUnknownAgentRequest: confirm unknown agent → client methods get JSON-RPC -32601 instead of silence. - TestKimiBackendInvokesACPSubcommand replaces the yolo-flag assertion with a negative assertion: no dead --yolo / --auto-approve / -y on argv, since they'd pretend to do something they can't. All: go build ./..., go vet ./..., go test ./pkg/agent/... green. * fix(agent/acp): surface kimi tool input/output via content blocks Kimi-cli emits tool_call and tool_call_update ACP frames with the input/output inside a `content` array of ContentToolCallContent blocks (shape: {type:"content", content:{type:"text", text:"..."}}), not in the hermes-style `rawInput` map / `rawOutput` string. Our parser only looked at rawInput/rawOutput, so the daemon recorded empty Input and Output for every kimi tool — the execution-history UI showed blank terminal panels even for commands that ran fine. Add extractACPToolCallText() and a fallback in handleToolCallStart / handleToolCallUpdate: when rawInput is nil / rawOutput is empty, pull the text out of the content blocks. rawInput / rawOutput still take precedence so hermes' behaviour is untouched. Terminal / FileEditToolCallContent blocks are skipped (we have nothing to render them as — kimi only emits TerminalToolCallContent when the client advertises terminal capability, which we don't). Tests: - TestHermesClientHandleToolCallStartKimiContent — content array → Input.text populated. - TestHermesClientHandleToolCallCompleteKimiContent — multi-block content → Output concatenated with newline separator. - TestHermesClientHandleToolCallRawOutputTakesPrecedence — hermes rawOutput still wins when both are present. - TestExtractACPToolCallText — unit coverage for the helper (single/multiple text blocks, terminal-block skip, empty input). * fix(agent/acp): buffer streaming tool args so Input isn't empty in UI kimi-cli streams tool args token-by-token via tool_call_update frames — the initial tool_call carries an empty content block and each subsequent in_progress update carries the cumulative JSON so far (`{`, `{"comma`, `{"command": "echo`, …). The final completed update then carries the tool's stdout, not the args. Observed per kimi-cli acp/session.py::_send_tool_call{,_part,_result} and confirmed by driving a real Shell call end-to-end: 10 in_progress frames, last with `{"command": "echo hello world"}`, then completed with `hello world\n`. Our previous handleToolCallStart emitted MessageToolUse on the first tool_call frame, capturing the empty content — so every kimi tool appeared in the execution-history UI with a blank input. Output was correct (fix 4335c198) but command was missing. Changes: - hermesClient now tracks pending tool calls per toolCallId. Hermes path is unchanged — rawInput is present at tool_call time, so emit-immediately-then-flag-emitted still fires on the initial frame. - kimi path defers MessageToolUse until status=completed / failed. tool_call_update in_progress frames update the buffered argsText (cumulative, so overwrite); on completion we parse the accumulated JSON into Message.Input. Malformed JSON falls back to `{"text": …}` so non-JSON tool args still render. - Orphan completion frames (no matching tool_call seen — e.g. daemon restarted mid-task) synthesise ToolUse from the update's own title/kind/rawInput so the UI still gets a header. - extractACPToolCallText now also renders FileEditToolCallContent blocks as a compact header ("--- path / +++ path / (edited: N → M bytes)"). kimi emits these for Write / StrReplaceFile / Patch when the tool's display block is a DiffDisplayBlock. Tests: - TestHermesClientKimiStreamingToolCall: empty tool_call + 5 streaming in_progress + completed. Asserts no emission until complete, then [ToolUse(Input.command="echo hi"), ToolResult(Output="hi\n")]. - TestHermesClientKimiMalformedArgsFallback: non-JSON argsText → falls back to Input.text. - TestHermesClientHandleToolCallCompleteOrphan: completed frame without a start → ToolUse synthesised from update's rawInput. - TestExtractACPToolCallText: diff + new-file-diff cases. feat(agent): add Cursor Agent CLI runtime support (#1057)
* feat(agent): add Cursor Agent CLI runtime support Add cursor-agent as a new agent backend, following the same pattern as existing providers. The implementation spawns cursor-agent CLI with stream-json output, parses JSONL events into the unified Message type, and supports session resume, usage tracking, and auto-approval (--yolo). Changes: - server/pkg/agent/cursor.go: cursorBackend implementation - server/pkg/agent/cursor_test.go: unit tests for args, parsing, errors - server/pkg/agent/agent.go: register "cursor" in New() factory - server/internal/daemon/config.go: probe cursor-agent in PATH - server/internal/daemon/execenv/context.go: cursor skill discovery path - server/internal/daemon/execenv/runtime_config.go: AGENTS.md injection - packages/views/.../provider-logo.tsx: cursor logo in UI Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * fix(agent): address PR review for cursor backend 1. Fix token usage double-counting: usage is now taken exclusively from "result" events (session totals). Per-message usage in "assistant" events is intentionally ignored. "step_finish" usage is only used as fallback when no "result" usage is available. 2. Remove dead code: isCursorUnknownSessionError() and its regex were defined but never called. Removed along with corresponding test. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * fix(agent): add missing CustomArgs, SystemPrompt, MaxTurns, and debug logging to cursor backend - Add cursorBlockedArgs and filterCustomArgs support for safe custom arg passthrough - Add --system-prompt and --max-turns flag support to buildCursorArgs - Add debug logging of command args before execution (consistent with all other backends) - Move stdout-close goroutine inside main goroutine (consistent with claude.go pattern) - Add tests for SystemPrompt/MaxTurns and CustomArgs filtering Co-authored-by: Copilot <[email protected]> * chore: make daemon uses local profile & update Cursor logo to official brand - Makefile: make daemon now runs 'daemon start --profile local' for local dev - Replace Cursor runtime logo with official brand SVG (removed background rect) Co-authored-by: Copilot <[email protected]> * fix(agent): remove unsupported --system-prompt and --max-turns from cursor-agent cursor-agent CLI does not support these flags. Instructions are already injected via AGENTS.md and .cursor/skills/ files. Co-authored-by: Copilot <[email protected]> * fix(agent): prevent step_finish + result usage double-counting in cursor Split usage accumulation into separate stepUsage and resultUsage maps. After stream ends, use resultUsage if available (session totals from result event), otherwise fall back to stepUsage (sum of step_finish). This prevents 2x counting when result.usage already includes totals. Added table-driven test covering: result-only, step_finish-only, step_finish+result (no double count), and multi-model scenarios. feat(agent): add Pi agent runtime support (#1064)
* feat(agent): add Pi agent runtime support
Add Pi as a new agent runtime provider, following the established adapter
pattern. Pi CLI outputs JSONL events which are parsed for messages, tool
calls, and usage tracking.
Backend:
- New piBackend implementing the Backend interface (pi.go)
- Pi CLI discovery via MULTICA_PI_PATH env var or PATH lookup
- JSONL event stream parsing (agent_start, message_update, thinking_update,
tool_execution_start/end, agent_end)
- Usage scanner for ~/.pi/sessions/*.jsonl files
- Runtime config injection via AGENTS.md
- Skill injection to .pi/agent/skills/
Frontend:
- Pi provider logo (teal π icon)
- Pi label in transcript dialog
Docs:
- Updated all provider lists in README, CLI_INSTALL, and docs
* fix(agent): filter Pi usage scanner to agent_end events only
Address review feedback: restrict usage parsing to agent_end events
which contain cumulative totals, preventing potential inaccuracy if
Pi adds usage fields to other event types in the future.
* fix(agent): align Pi runtime with real CLI flags, event schema, and custom_args
- Flags: Pi's CLI uses `--mode json` (not `--output-format jsonl`), has no
`--yolo` (explicit `--tools` allowlist instead), takes the prompt as a
positional argument (not `-p <prompt>`), splits model as
`--provider <name> --model <id>`, and treats `--session` as a file path
that must exist before spawn.
- Event parsing: rewrite the stream event struct to match Pi's actual
JSON event schema (`message_update.assistantMessageEvent.delta`,
`turn_end.message.usage.{input,output,cacheRead,cacheWrite}`, etc.).
- Sessions: generate/persist session files under ~/.multica/pi-sessions/
and use the file path as the opaque SessionID returned to the daemon.
- Usage scanner: read assistant `message` events from the same session
files (Pi's session-file schema, distinct from the stdout stream).
- Custom args: consume `ExecOptions.CustomArgs` via `filterCustomArgs`
with a Pi-specific blocked set (`-p`, `--print`, `--mode`, `--session`)
so Pi matches the pattern shared by every other agent backend.

feat(daemon): add opencode as supported agent provider (#341)
* feat(daemon): add opencode as supported agent provider Add opencode backend alongside claude and codex. The backend spawns `opencode run --format json`, parses streaming JSON events (text, tool_use, error, step_start/finish), and supports --prompt for system prompts. Includes CLI detection, AGENTS.md runtime config, native skill discovery via .config/opencode/skills/, and 21 tests covering handlers, JSON parsing, and integration-level processEvents scenarios. * chore: add .tool-versions to gitignore |

fix(daemon): add CLI hint to issue_context.md
renderIssueContext() now includes a "Quick Start" section with the `multica issue get` command so agents know how to fetch issue details. Fixes the TestPrepareDirectoryMode and TestWriteContextFiles failures. |

feat(agents): reply as thread instead of top-level comment (#205)
* feat(agents): reply as thread instead of top-level comment When an agent responds to a user comment, the reply is now nested under the triggering comment (parent_id) instead of appearing as a separate top-level comment. Also enables on_comment trigger by default for newly created agents. - Add trigger_comment_id column to agent_task_queue (migration 028) - Pass triggering comment ID through EnqueueTaskForIssue → task → createAgentComment - Include parent_id in WebSocket broadcast for agent comments - Default agent creation includes both on_assign and on_comment triggers Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * feat(cli): add --parent flag to comment add for threaded replies The agent posts comments via the CLI, so the correct fix is giving it a --parent flag rather than wiring trigger_comment_id through the task infrastructure. The agent reads the comment list, decides which comment to reply to, and passes --parent <comment-id>. - Add --parent flag to `multica issue comment add` - Update agent runtime instructions to explain --parent usage Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * feat(daemon): pass trigger_comment_id to agent execution context The agent now knows which comment triggered its task and gets an explicit instruction to reply to it using --parent. The trigger_comment_id flows from the DB through the claim response, daemon Task struct, and into issue_context.md where the agent sees it. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * fix(comments): agent replies to thread root, matching frontend behavior When the triggering comment is itself a reply (has parent_id), resolve to the thread root so the agent's reply stays in the same flat thread. This matches the frontend where all replies share the top-level parent. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * feat(cli): show parent_id and full IDs in comment list The table output now includes a PARENT column and shows full comment IDs (not truncated) so agents can see thread structure and use --parent. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * feat(daemon): instruct agents to always use --output json Agents now see explicit guidance to use --output json for all read commands, ensuring they get structured data with full IDs and parent_id for proper threading. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * feat(daemon): differentiate comment-trigger vs assign-trigger context When triggered by a comment, the agent now gets clear instructions: - Primary goal is to read and respond to the comment - Do NOT change issue status just because you replied - Only change status if explicitly requested This prevents the agent from seeing "In Review" and stopping, since it now understands the task is to reply, not to re-evaluate the issue. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * fix(daemon): split workflow by trigger type in CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md The Workflow section in the agent's runtime config now shows a comment-reply workflow when triggered by a comment (read comments, find trigger, reply, don't change status) vs the full assignment workflow (set in_progress, do work, set in_review). Previously the agent always saw the assignment workflow, causing it to check the issue status, see "In Review", and stop without reading or replying to the triggering comment. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * refactor(daemon): remove duplicate workflow from issue_context.md Workflow instructions now live only in CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md (runtime_config.go). issue_context.md keeps just the task data: issue ID, trigger type, and triggering comment ID. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <[email protected]> * fix(task): skip duplicate comment on completion for comment-triggered tasks When triggered by a comment, the agent posts its own reply via CLI with --parent. The task completion path was also creating a comment from the agent's stdout output, resulting in duplicates. Now only assignment-triggered tasks auto-post output as a comment. Error messages from FailTask are still posted regardless of trigger type.
