* feat(i18n): translate web console messages in the frontend and AI-client errors in the backend
Chinese text was hard-coded in API messages, stored log content, emails and
server logs, so it reached users of every interface language.
Text is now translated where its reader is:
- Web console APIs return the English source text as message_key with
message_params, and the web console translates it in all seven languages.
message keeps the English text for other API callers.
- Errors returned to AI clients, emails and notifications are translated by
the backend (en, zh-CN, zh-TW) in the language saved on the account, then
the language of the request's Accept-Language header.
- A reader who states no language still gets the original Chinese text of the
messages that were Chinese before, word for word. Gateways that use another
new-api as their upstream match that text, for example to disable a channel
whose account ran out of quota.
- Usage, top-up and system log content is stored as content_parts (key and
params) and rendered in the viewer's language. Task fail reasons and refund
reasons written by the gateway are English keys. Rows written earlier are
shown as before.
- Server logs are English.
Also:
- The saved interface language zhTW, and zh-HK, zh-MO and zh-Hant, now select
Traditional Chinese in the backend instead of Simplified Chinese.
- The built-in group descriptions are translated; descriptions an
administrator saved are shown as written.
- .agents/rules/i18n.md records the conventions. Tests in i18n/ fail on a
non-English string literal, on a web console message without translations
and on a locale key without a constant.
* feat(i18n): print server logs in Chinese when LOG_LANGUAGE asks for it
Server log lines are English by default. With LOG_LANGUAGE=zh-CN, the lines
that were Chinese before print their original Chinese text.
common.LogText formats a log line from its English format, which is also the
key of its Chinese text in common/log_text.zh-CN.json. A line without an entry
prints in English. go vet checks the arguments of every call, and
TestServerLogTexts checks that each entry still matches a call and has the
same verbs as its key.
* docs: list LOG_LANGUAGE in the docker compose example
* feat(i18n): translate every server log line and add DEFAULT_LANGUAGE
Every line the gateway prints goes through common.LogText. With
DEFAULT_LANGUAGE=zh-CN, the lines that have a Chinese text in
common/log_text.zh-CN.json print it and the others print English.
DEFAULT_LANGUAGE replaces LOG_LANGUAGE. It also sets the language of
backend messages, emails and notifications for a reader who states no
language: en, zh-CN or zh-TW, English when unset. The list of messages
that stayed Chinese for such readers is removed.
Review fixes:
- Channel test logs store the token name "Model test"; the console shows
it in the interface language.
- Task fail reasons written by the gateway are fixed sentences the console
translates. The HTTP status and the upstream detail go to the server log
when a polled task is failed.
- The auto-disable reason of a slow channel is written in DEFAULT_LANGUAGE.
Also:
- Drop the repository-scanning lint tests, the i18n rules file and its
read gate. AGENTS.md keeps the conventions in four lines.
- Payment error toasts keep their previous text and only add the
translated message key.
- Remove guards and helpers that no caller needs.
* fix(i18n): address review on language lookup, notices and error responses
- Relay requests no longer load the user a second time to find the
language: the settings TokenAuth put into the request are used as they
are, also when they hold no language.
- Upstream model update notices are rendered in each recipient's saved
language, DEFAULT_LANGUAGE when none.
- /api/usage/token and /api/log/token answer with backend-translated
messages again, with the keys and status codes used before this PR.
Their callers are scripts, not the web console.
- Webhook notifications fill {{value}} placeholders like the other
senders. Running the rendered text through Sprintf appended
%!(EXTRA ...) and broke %2F in links.
- RootUserLanguage reads the setting of the root user it already loaded.
- zh_TW and zh_HK are read as Traditional Chinese.
- Add common.ApiErrorStatus for error responses under another HTTP status
and use it where those responses were built by hand.
- Remove middleware.GetLanguage, which had no callers.
Every node polls the active override set every 30 seconds, and the
snapshot query selected whole rows, so each poll pulled every plugin's
full source and icon from the database only to compare source_hash and
discard them. With sources allowed up to 8 MiB that is real traffic.
Skip the source and icon columns in the sync snapshot and fetch source by
row id only for plugins whose hash changed. A row never changes source in
place, so the id from the snapshot identifies exactly the text its hash
describes. A failed source load is handled like a compile failure: the
running plugin stays and the next poll retries.
A bare TEXT column holds 64 KiB on MySQL, and the shipped alibaba plugin
is already 73 KB, so uploading an override of it failed with "Data too
long for column 'source'" or was silently truncated. The 1 MiB upload
cap also blocks the larger plugins planned next.
Add model.LongText, a string type that picks longtext on MySQL and text
on PostgreSQL and SQLite through GormDBDataType, and use it for source
and icon. Neither type carries a length, so AutoMigrate leaves an
up-to-date column alone and widens the shipped MySQL text column once
without data loss. Raise the source cap to 8 MiB on the backend and in
the frontend picker, importers and locale strings.
Verified fresh and rc.39-upgrade startups twice each on SQLite, MySQL
5.7.44 and 8.4.11, PostgreSQL 9.6.24 and 17.11; the second start issues
no DDL and a 73 KB source round-trips on every engine.
A New API (type 60) channel proxies another gateway that may host many
task plugins, so the channel setting gains task_extend_plugin_keys; the
single task_plugin_key stays valid there as well. Channel selection,
shared-model candidate rebinding, the task_plugin.bind permission gate,
plugin usage counting and the disable cascade (which now unbinds gateway
channels instead of disabling them) all honour the union of both fields,
and plugins may no longer claim channel type 60 in channelTypes.
Plugins declare meta.upstreams and the host injects ctx.upstream into
every driver hook context. On a type-60 channel the driver addresses its
own prefixed native routes (doubao, alibaba, kling, jimeng) and the host
sends the channel key as a Bearer header for every auth type; polling
threads the channel type through ChannelMeta and tasks keep the key
that submitted them. Only plugins declaring new_api can be bound.
The channel form offers an "Upstream task plugins" selector for type-60
channels, MultiSelect options can carry an icon, and the plugin API docs,
type declarations and schema describe the additive apiVersion 1
extension.
Expose supported channel types in plugin options and let channel editors select extension models using the existing channel connection settings.
Add a gateway category, refine provider ordering and presentation, and prefer available plugins for legacy task providers during channel creation. Include the related translations and regression tests.
Validation in an isolated snapshot: 123 channel frontend tests, the plugin-options controller regression, TypeScript checks, affected-file lint, protected-header formatting, and the production frontend build passed.
- Share provider selection and tabbed configuration across channel creation and editing.
- Add provider descriptions, custom categories, inline model discovery, and model configuration tools.
- Improve batch model input, model mapping labels, parameter overrides, and required field indicators.
- Preserve existing Passkey domains and confirm domain changes.
- Include translations and regression coverage for the updated workflows.
Validation: 113 frontend tests, TypeScript checks, affected-file lint, production build, and protected-header formatting checks passed.
TaskPluginOverrideEnabled had no UI since the master switch landed, yet
when left off it marked every third-party plugin "disabled; platform
unavailable" regardless of its own toggle. Drop the option, env var,
registry flag, and the dead branch in ListTaskPlugins; the master switch
and per-plugin toggles are the only two levels now.
Disabling a task plugin that has both a factory built-in and an override
row only flipped the override flag, so the built-in kept routing the same
models and same-name uploads (e.g. minimax-h3 vs MiniMax-H3) still hit a
routing conflict. Now the key also enters the disabled-factory set and the
list reports "disabled" instead of "disabled_fallback" when nothing serves.
Plugin polling hooks previously ran against a hollow context: parseTaskResult
and parseBatchResult received {} / nil, buildQueryRequest received a
{task_id, action} map under the misleading name requestBody, and batch hooks
saw only bare task ids. The per-task poller also never looked at the upstream
HTTP status, and every built-in plugin papered over unrecognized bodies with
`|| "IN_PROGRESS"`, so a 404, a revoked key, or a shape the plugin did not
know would sit in IN_PROGRESS for the full 24h TASK_TIMEOUT_MINUTES while
holding the user's pre-charged quota.
Contract (docs/plugin-api v1.d.ts, v1.md, v1.schema.json):
- TaskQueryContext is declared separately from DriverContext and rebuilt from
the persisted Task row: taskId, publicTaskId, action, model, upstreamModel,
baseUrl, apiKey, authHeader, auth, data, state. Query-side requestBody is
removed; the original request is not persisted and hooks that need a
request-derived value must save it into state at submit time.
- parseTaskResult / parseBatchResult receive a third {status, headers}
argument. Batch hooks receive tasks[] with one TaskQueryContext per task.
- NormalizedTaskResult accepts status "UNKNOWN" meaning "I do not recognize
this body". Falling back to IN_PROGRESS for unknown shapes is forbidden;
`plugin lint` warns on the literal.
- parseSubmitResponse / parseTaskResult / parseBatchResult may return `state`.
Task.Data remains a per-round snapshot overwritten on every valid parse;
state is plugin-owned, persisted in TaskPrivateData.PluginState, preserved
when a hook omits it, byte-capped like taskData, and never exposed through
presenter views.
Host (service/task_polling.go, relay/channel/task/jsplugin/adaptor.go):
- TaskPollingAdaptor / BatchTaskPollingAdaptor take *model.Task and the
*http.Response so the adaptor can build the full context; jsplugin is the
only implementation.
- HTTP classification before the plugin sees the body: 2xx -> plugin;
404/410 -> FAILURE and refund; 401/403 -> poll failure plus a channel-scoped
warning, no auto-disable; 429/5xx/transport -> poll failure; other 4xx ->
plugin with the status visible, counted as unrecognized if the plugin still
reports a non-terminal state.
- TaskPrivateData.PollFailures counts consecutive poll failures (transient
HTTP, auth, transport, hook error, UNKNOWN). It is persisted through the
existing UpdateWithStatus CAS so a concurrent terminal transition on another
instance is never clobbered, and reset on any valid 2xx non-terminal parse.
Reaching TASK_POLL_MAX_FAILURES (default 20, <= 0 disables) fails the task
with the last classification and HTTP code in fail_reason and runs the
existing settle/refund chain exactly once. sweepTimedOutTasks and its
1440-minute default are unchanged as the outer backstop.
- Unrecognized bodies are logged at WARN with a bounded redacted copy since
Task.Data is intentionally not overwritten on that path.
Plugins (all ten bumped one patch version):
- jimeng persists the outbound req_key in state and reads it back in
buildQueryRequest, replacing dead reads of ctx.data / ctx.requestBody that
never resolved.
- sunoapi batch hooks read tasks[] instead of the removed requestBody.
- hailuo treats base_resp.status_code != 0 as FAILURE before the status table.
- kling, vidu, sora, alibaba, doubao, hailuo, jimeng return UNKNOWN with the
raw upstream status in reason on table miss.
- google and vertex-ai treat a missing `done` as in-progress: Google
long-running operations omit proto3 default fields, so a running Veo
operation has no `done` key at all. Only a body without an operation name is
UNKNOWN. plugins/veo_poll_test.go locks this so the poll-failure cutoff can
never fail a rendering Veo task.
Tests cover the classification table end to end against a real DB (404
immediate refund, 429xN refund, 401 increments without status change, 2xx
reset, UNKNOWN increments, state preserved vs replaced, PollFailures survives
the CAS write), the query-context shape, UNKNOWN on unrecognized bodies, and
the absence of PluginState/PollFailures from TaskView. Controller tests derive
the kling factory version from the embedded manifest instead of hardcoding it.
