alpha.7 is a performance release on the JSON and call path: JSON.stringify
and AppendJSON keep their stringifier on the stack, JSON.parse clears its
working stack once per parse, ReleaseCallData clears only the registers a
finished call used, and arithmetic and bitwise results reach registers
without a write barrier. The interpreter's register stack now grows in
place within its capacity.
The host only calls ReleaseCallData, so no adaptor changes are needed.
new-api builds and its plugin tests pass unchanged.
alpha.6 adds json.RawMessage arguments and targets, ParseJSONString and
a faster interpreter. new-api builds and its plugin tests pass on it
without host changes. On moejs's new-api gate the BenchmarkTaskPlugin
rows are 4.3 % faster on geomean (HookCall -13 %, Submit 8 MiB -8.6 %)
with allocations unchanged.
Token estimates badly undercounted agent requests. Claude tool
definitions, Responses function calls and their outputs, Chat assistant
tool calls, and Gemini system instructions, function calls, function
responses, and tools never reached the counter; Chat tool schemas were
counted as Go map syntax and Claude tool results as escaped JSON.
Measured against upstream usage on 54 real Claude Code and Codex
conversation windows, native prompt estimates were 31-93% low, and the
Claude and Gemini completion fallbacks about 90% low because streamed
tool calls were not counted.
All of these now reach the counter. The completion fallbacks count tool
names and arguments, plus 40 tokens per Claude tool_use block. The
estimator weights are refitted per tokenizer: Claude before Opus 4.7,
Claude 4.7 and later (about 30% more tokens for the same text), GPT, and
Gemini. Prompt estimates now land within 1% bias and 3-4% mean error for
each family.
Token counting moves into tokenkit, an independent module like
relaykit, so other gateways can use it. It also replaces the flat
520-token image estimate with each provider's sizing rules, checked
against upstream usage on sizes outside the test table: OpenAI patch and
tile rules per model and detail level (gpt-5.5 and later default to
original detail, and their high detail is billed as measured, not as
documented), Claude's two resolution tiers, and Gemini 3 media
resolution and Gemini 2.x tiles. Chat image_url parts without detail
no longer default to high in ParseContent, so they estimate as the
upstream default auto; no converter sent that value upstream.
tiktoken-go moves to v0.8.1, about twice as fast on ordinary text. It
requires Go 1.26, so the root module and tokenkit move to Go 1.26;
relaykit stays on 1.25.1. In every version BPE cost grows with the
square of a pre-tokenized piece, so 100,000 Chinese characters without
punctuation took 21.6 s to count during pre-consume. Count now cuts
single-class runs longer than 1024 bytes, which leaves ordinary text
unchanged and brings that input down to 106 ms. The encoder cache no
longer grows with client-supplied model names.
Update moejs to v0.1.0-alpha.5. Engine.CallInto and Engine.CallPathInto
decode a hook result straight into a Go value through ToGoInto, which
gives the same value and error as encoding the result and decoding it
again with the host codec, without that round trip for plain results.
A result the codec cannot encode or the target rejects is a ResultError
carrying the codec's message, and the runtime stays reusable.
The request-building hooks (buildSubmitRequest, buildQueryRequest,
buildBatchQueryRequest, buildContentRequest), parseBatchResult and the
openai_video renderer use them, replacing decodeRequestDescriptor.
parseSubmitResponse and parseTaskResult still read the raw result,
because they check exact keys that a case-insensitive struct decode
would not.
Task plugins now run on github.com/Calcium-Ion/moejs v0.1.0-alpha.3
instead of Sobek, and the host utils are ported to it. The plugin API is
unchanged. Code compiled from strings is no longer allowed: eval and the
Function constructors throw an EvalError.
Hooks receive host values without defensive copies. The engine converts
an object or array when the hook first reads it and never writes
JavaScript changes back to the host value. Stored protocol state and task
views are passed as raw JSON and parsed inside the runtime instead of
being decoded into Go maps first. An idle runtime drops its references to
the last call's arguments.
Whether an optional hook is exported is decided once when the plugin
loads, so checking for it no longer takes an execution slot.
Usage validation returns the normalized facts in a new map instead of
writing into the hook result, so a hook that returns the request body no
longer changes it. The request descriptor is copied instead of being
round-tripped through JSON.
Use authorization code flow with PKCE and verified ID tokens for Telegram login, binding, and security verification. Preserve existing bindings and require administrator OAuth configuration.
Keep the restricted WeChat first-enrollment session proof, fix missing-target authentication errors, and preserve callback requests after OAuth popups close.
Upgrade the SQLite GORM driver to correctly distinguish unique indexes from constraints. Normalize equivalent MySQL decimal defaults and PostgreSQL CHAR metadata during migration comparison while preserving real schema changes.
Validation: 27 fresh-start and rc.26 upgrade scenarios using SQLite 3.50.4, MySQL 5.7.44, PostgreSQL 9.6.24, and ClickHouse 25.8.33.6; 15 upgraded databases passed uniqueness checks. Relational databases issue no DDL on unchanged restarts. Existing ClickHouse TTL synchronization remains unchanged.
Move account security settings into a dedicated page and add token status, rotation, revocation, and access history.
Store audit events with role snapshots and JSON metadata, add audit.read authorization and an independent audit page, and upgrade the ClickHouse driver to v2.46.0.
GORM v1.25.2 closes cached prepared statements asynchronously on any SQL
error and immediately re-Parses the same deterministic name (pgx's
stmt_<sha256>) on the same client connection. Transaction-pooling proxies
(PgBouncer >=1.21 with max_prepared_statements, Neon, Supabase) respond
with FATAL "prepared statement name is already in use" (SQLSTATE 08P01)
and drop the connection. PreferSimpleProtocol only disables pgx's
implicit prepare and never covered GORM's explicit PrepareStmt cache.
- PostgreSQL now runs with PrepareStmt disabled entirely; named prepared
statements are fundamentally session state and cannot be made safe
under transaction pooling. Parse/plan cost is noise for this workload.
- Upgrade gorm to v1.25.12 so MySQL/SQLite statement caches (still
enabled) no longer churn close/re-prepare on ordinary SQL errors;
v1.25.9+ restricts eviction to driver.ErrBadConn. Deliberately not
v1.26+, whose LRU eviction has an open use-after-close race (#7831).
- sanitizeDBError now attaches a remediation hint on 08P01/42P05 so
affected deployments can self-diagnose from the log line.
* test(relayconvert): add golden snapshot matrix and relaykit boundary guard
Phase 0 of the relaykit extraction plan: pin byte-level output of every
registered (from,to) request/response/stream conversion route, and
forbid kit-bound packages from growing host-only imports.
* wip(relayconvert): drop gin.Context from converter signatures; add convmeta draft
Phase 1 in progress: relayconvert now takes context.Context; host media
resolver adapts gin.Context back at the service boundary.
* refactor(relayconvert): decouple converters from RelayInfo, gin, and settings
Phase 1 of the relaykit extraction plan:
- converters now depend on convmeta.Meta (implemented by RelayInfo) instead
of *relaycommon.RelayInfo; ClaudeConvertInfo and the format guesser move
to convmeta with aliases left behind
- host settings reach converters via a convmeta.Options snapshot built in
RelayInfo.ConvOptions; no more model_setting/reasoning global reads inside
the conversion layer
- effort-suffix helpers move to service/relayconvert/reasoning (old package
forwards); chat-to-responses upgrade policy moves to service (host routing
logic, not conversion)
- golden conversion matrix unchanged
* test(relayconvert): tighten boundary — kit packages now free of gin/setting imports
* refactor(dto): drop gin and logger dependencies
Phase 2 (part 1): dto.Request.IsStream now takes *http.Request instead of
*gin.Context (Gemini's impl reads query/path off the std request); dto's
three logger calls become common.SysError. Boundary test allowlist is now
empty — kit-bound packages import no gin/setting/logger/model.
* refactor(kit): extract dependency-free kitutil; dto/types/relayconvert stop importing common
Phase 2 of the relaykit extraction plan:
- new service/relayconvert/kitutil holds the pure helpers the kit needs
(JSON wrappers, pointer/string/uuid/timestamp utils, MaskSensitiveInfo,
pluggable LogInfo/LogError hooks, Debug flag)
- dto, types, and all relayconvert packages now use kitutil; their only
remaining internal deps are dto/types/constant
- common keeps every original symbol (MaskSensitiveInfo delegates to
kitutil) so host code is untouched; main.go routes kit logging into
common.SysLog/SysError and mirrors DebugEnabled
- golden conversion matrix unchanged
* refactor(kit): move EndpointType/FinishReason to types; OpenRouter dialect via Options
Kit packages (dto/types/relayconvert/reasonmap) no longer import constant:
- EndpointType and finish-reason values live in types; constant re-exports
- the OpenRouter special-case in claude->openai request conversion reads
Options.OpenRouterDialect, set by the host from the channel type;
InitChannelMeta invalidates the cached snapshot on channel switch
* refactor: extract relaykit submodule (dto/types/relayconvert/reasonmap)
Phase 3 of the relaykit extraction plan:
- new go module github.com/QuantumNous/new-api/relaykit containing dto
(minus task family), types, relayconvert (with convmeta/kitutil/reasoning),
and reasonmap; host consumes it via require + replace, go.work for dev
- task-family dto (task/suno/midjourney/video) stays in the host dto
package; dual-consumer host files alias it as taskdto
- relaykit builds and tests standalone (GOWORK=off): no host imports,
no gin, no DB, no settings
- golden conversion matrix unchanged
* build(docker): copy relaykit/go.mod before go mod download
The local-replace submodule's go.mod must exist inside the build context
for the main module graph to resolve.
* fix: address relaykit extraction regressions
* fix: address relaykit review regressions
* docs: document Meta nil receiver contract
* fix(relaykit): fail OpenAI→Claude conversion without max_tokens; reject negative default_max_tokens
The Claude Messages API requires max_tokens (omitting it is a 400
"Field required"), but with a nil Options.Claude.DefaultMaxTokens hook
the converters silently emitted a request the upstream is guaranteed to
reject. Both OpenAI Chat and Responses → Claude conversions now return
sharedclaude.ErrMissingMaxTokens when no path (client value, default
hook, thinking-adapter floor) supplied one. Unreachable in the host,
which always configures the hook.
Host side, claude.default_max_tokens now rejects negative values at the
option API before persisting — they would wrap into huge unsigned values
during conversion. Zero stays allowed: the current API treats
max_tokens: 0 as cache pre-warming.
* fix: make Gemini safety settings read path race-free
- add vercel-react-best-practices skill (SKILL.md + full-guide.md)
- slim CLAUDE.md to import shared AGENTS.md conventions
- promote go-ntlmssp to a direct dependency in go.mod
* fix: support SMTP STARTTLS mode and NTLM auth
Add explicit SMTP STARTTLS configuration for 587-style connections and keep SSL/TLS as the implicit TLS mode.
Prefer PLAIN when advertised, keep LOGIN compatibility, and add NTLM as a fallback for Exchange SMTP servers that require it after STARTTLS.
* fix: respect explicit SMTP encryption mode
